The price drop on the PS3 is just temporary. They're coming out with an 80gb model that will be $599 and have discontinued the 60gb model. So once the 60gb's are gone, no more $499 PS3s

Okay after watching E3-07 this past weekend (had to record it since I was busy when it showed initially) I retract my statements. Some of the PS3's games they showed do look impressive.

Within the next couple months I will either buy another 360 and system link it with my current one to play with friends, or I will purchase a playstation3 to play some of the exclusives not coming to xbox.

Decisions decisions decisions....

If I were you, since you still have a 360, I'd wait til next year around the time MGS 4 and Killzone 2 come out (spring/summer). It'll be a much better time to justify buying a PS3 if you're still on the fence. I already have one so luckily I don't have to make that decision; although I'm still considering getting the 65 process 360 since it should be around the same time as the Halo 3 release.

IMHO, there's no way in hell Sony will be able to compete with MS if they keep that $599 pricepoint, with only an extra 20 gigs and the filler Motorstorm add-in. Even if they included HDMI cables that's barely enough to justify the same price as launch. I imagine before the holiday they'll bring it down to $499 or perhaps lower if they want to keep any hopes alive of nabbing 3rd party exclusives. They're probably only using that 80 price as a very temporary incentive for consumers to buy up the 60 gig stock while til it's depleted.
