Anyone got something to celebrate or say that's of course POSITIVE?

Today, I have a day off and will spend it w/my kiddos at the park. Maybe I'll try cooking something I haven't cooked in awhile. Last line was just an excuse to use this smiley.

I woke up this morning. That's a lot better than a few unlucky people.

Oh geez, how did I miss that. That's right, it is Memorial Day. So, in memoriam, I salute my granny's youngest bro who died in Italy in WWII w/the 442nd 100th battalion. My son looks so much like him it's uncanny.

If you're ever feeling down just take a look at some of the armed forces lads & lasses rolling off the planes after being IED'd / mortared / RPGed etc out in hot sandy places who are happy to still be alive.

That always puts our stupid trivial civilian bullshit in to perspective!

today, i saw a blind woman at the grocery store at the check out. i thought about how sucky it would be not to see what your buying, or to be able to handle cash, not to be able to drive yourself home from the store and go see that DVD they were buying.

very thankful for my vision.

-my grandma was an artist all her life-until she went blind from macular degeneration when she was about 75. heartbreaking.
lets all be thankful for what we do have, no matter how trivial it may seem.

absolutely. this makes you realize how rich your life really is; you tend to notice the good things you have and the bad things that you don't have.

and i'm sure they are. kids tend to have that innocence shining in their eyes which is incredibly endearing and beautiful to me.
