When favoring violent action, we often fail to consider the many innocent lives that get claimed. We looked on with horror and grief on 9/11 when we witnessed the senseless killing of thousands of innocent people. Why then, are we less sympathetic and sensetive to the idea of innocent victims abroad? I suppose it's because they're not really people. They're different, remember.

It is unfortunate that we live in a world that is filled with warfare and violence. A common phrase being passed around lately is that we must "fight for peace." Is it logical to claim that violence and killing is taking a stand for peace? Can war really bring about lasting peace? History would indicate that it can't. After hundreds of wars fought around the world and countless millions dead, mankind still threatens to destroy itself. The only true way to take a stand for peace is to respect the sanctity of human life.

In times of conflict, we are programmed to see the people of other nations as "the enemy." To view them as almost being non-human. Such differentiating characteristics such as race, political offiliation, language, and religion are all guises used to cloud us from seeing them as human beings. Sometimes it's a matter of defending ourselves and in this case the best defense is a good offense.

Believe the "peace and goodwill towards men" all you want, but the fact is that the world will ALWAYS be this way. Actually it will only get worse.

I don't agree with much that you say, ok usually I disagree with it all, but I am in full agreement in that we are going to loose a lot of our freedoms if attacked again. However, I believe we will be attacked again no matter if we go to war with Iraq or not. Not going to war would only delay an attack in my believing.

That is quite false. The attacks were a direct result of foreign policy and the illusion of being anti-Islamic (although that illusion could be a reality these days).

Attacking another Islamic country (although Iraq is very secular) will do nothing but makes things worse.

Instead of spending Billions and sending thousands of troops to Iraq, focus on the real terrorists with that kind of energy.

We arent less sympathetic when other innocents get killed!! What is it with you fucking people? "the inncoents, we are gonna kill so many innocents". No we fucking aren't. We dont attack houses and hopsitals and schools, like the people we are fighting.
