im 5'10 228lbs im not sure of my bf, but i am not fat, im currently trying to get on a cutting routine/diet. i want to get to 190 lbs. can someone give me any tips or workout routines, and a sample diet plan that i can follow along with a cardio routine,so that i can reach my goals by January, i would really appreciate it. thanks

Weight loss is a matter of calories in vs calories out first and foremost.......how have you been working out and what is your current diet like? You'll want to eat a lot of lean meats and fish, cut out things like bleached carbs and alcohol, eat enough good fats, and just restrict total cals.

Also, I will hit you with some K, it'll help a little bit as I see you're all in the red, lol.

John Berardi's article is the gold standard of concise "what should I eat?" write-ups. Put something together based on that, with a caloric total less than maintenance, and start a "critique my diet" thread in the diet forum.

John Berardi is a pretty good source for your question, as it is a broad question.....he also has a cookbook called "Gormet Nutrition" out that will help you make eating clean suck less because you really can make some good-tasting stuff......a lot of guys knock Berardi saying he recommends too many calories, I always thought he was right on as I personally need a lot of cals, but if you feel you don't, you can just take his ideas on 'what and when' and tweak the calories a bit.

Read through the stickies at the top of the board......if you have any questions, just ask.....you want something that will foster improvement in squats, deadlifts, bench presses, military presses, barell rows.
