Social issue: Is "grinding" acceptable behavior at highschool dances?

This was the topic of discussion on the radio this morning. I see no problem with it. It was kinda hypocritical too when they said they can do it all they want once they get in college. Same thing imo, just with a little less formal setting. It wouldn't be acceptable to grind at a church dance in my opinion though. But high school? Hell, it's not like anyone's fucking at those dances right there on the dance floor (well, maybe but that would take some exceptional skill to pull off). They're past any naivety that might've once overshadowed the instinctual drive and desire to get it on, and they're either gonna bang afterwards or not, regardless of grinding.

It goes back further than the dance floor though. Grinding is irrelevant to maturity levels. I don't remember grinding with any chics at highschool, only the hug form of dancing (her arms over his shoulders, his around her waist). It was a small town though so maybe things were different elsewhere. Regardless though, saying that grinding encourages sex is like saying that heavy metal encourages violence. People are either raised or not raised, stupid or not stupid. Our society is more inclined these days to simply letting the chips fall where they may and dealing with it later.

My highschool dance highlight: being a freshman and getting a dance with the senior voted best looking of her class. Looking back I think I grew my balls that night.

The commandant of my High School served 4 tours in Vietnam and would make Strickland look like a 2nd grade girl.

That being said, it was generally frowned upon during our "Balls" to grind.

But in general, who cares? It is comon form these days. Gotta love the urban cultural influence though.
