There seems to be an awful lot people slinging a shitload of mud on here recently at my friend Raina. Since she’s one of my few very dear friends this bothers me.
There are only a couple people here who understand her off the board and obviously Kak isn't one of them.
When people meet through the internet many times it just doesn't work out or have the same chemistry in the flesh. Little things that you don't realize or notice happen in real life that you miss on the phone or reading a line of 10 point type. So you meet, you discover things aren't as you imagined, and you move on. I'm not sure why this type of thing would end up on a discussion board as a topic of conversation but it appears one person feels betrayed. I think you need to get a grip.
Let's take just one aspect. There are others FAR more important in this convoluted story but let's just take one.
Recently Raina argued with her sister about going to a bar for her bday. She doesn't like being around people who are drunk. But because her sister insisted they go see her friend’s band they went. She spent her bday the way her sister suggested rather than how she would have picked for herself. Maybe she’s guilty of not telling people drunkenness is a turn off.
Now imagine Raina meets some guy she's been attracted to on the internet and this fellow is the type who can't relax around women unless he's blasted. So he's drunk at lunch and then drinks more at dinner and more later, and passes out in his room. One topic of his conversation is how he put away 21 drinks the day before. Can't you just see the chemistry these two are going to have? It's magic isn't it?
