I'm trying to conciously eat slower. I eat pretty damn fast, especially when I'm at home / during the day. Which is a shame, considering I cook a lot and the art of food is something I rank at the top of my enjoyment list. I recently read In Defense of Food and have read quite a bit about the Slow Food movement (Slow Food - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Interesting stuff. Really, "slow the fuck down" is a concept that most Americans are drastically in need of in all walks of life, not just eating. Anyway, because I eat so much (read: am fat) and cook so often, I've decided to slow my eating down, really enjoy the food.
I made some broccoli rabe this morning with toasted pine nuts and raisins. I came.
