have you seen a sleep specialist...?

sleep apnea is a major reason for loss of sleep... look into it...

yeah i did but i need to get another one. i actually couldnt get passed a level 2 sleep the entire time and it wasnt enough for them to truly find out anything, so they just started prescribing me sleep aids.
 
yeah, they took the easy way out...

i suggest finding someone new...

if you have been on Ambien and Lunesta for 2 years now, your doctor should be punched in the head by the guy that offered it to you above... ;)

sleep aids are supposed to only be used as short term remedies... :(
 
Nice thread! Does anyone know what the best way to keep your sleep down (hrs) is? I sleep too much I think. I'm only 21 and I'm known to sleep 9-10 hrs a night! I wish I could sleep 7 or 8 as then I could get so much done. my other issue is this: I go to sleep a bit later and later every night until eventually i am going to bed at 2 ro 3 or 6 am (about 2 now) and getting up at 9 or 8 once in a while for business is tough!!! Funny thing is though that soon I'll need to be up early REGULARLY due to business. HELP!

and thats what i dont get. they tell u to do it for 14 days max, so, ok, you take it for 14 days and quit. not only do you have rebound insomnia, but even after that goes away youre back to not sleeping normally again.

the only solution would be to get to bed at the same time each nite
