Skinny guy question

To make the weight gain preferencially muscle and not fat, you need to eat high protein, moderate to low carb and fat meals 6-8 times per day. And, you need to stress you muscles with resistance training intensly enough and often enough to make them grow.

Hang on, if the guy is 110 lbs i think high protein and high carbs is the way to go. He just wants to eat everything he lays eyes on. Try to watch that you dont eat too much fat.

True dat. Carbs could be his friend right now. He could get away with eating a lot of carbs right now as long as he keeps the fat in check.

i have made the mistake of not eating enough druing a cycle and didn't grow much at all. Listen to these guys, they are right on the money with their advice. i have been lifting for 9years and still are making gains naturally inbetween cycles since i only do two a year. and it is true, you will make amazing gains naturally your first 2 years with out any juice. i'd be willing to bet with the peanut sandwich in the bag advice, a multi vitamin, and some protien combined with a solid heavy workout program you'd probably put on 20lbs that first year. also, if your lifting more than an hour at the gym if your doing one muscle group a day your probably over training if your busting your ass while your there, so the lifting part doesn't have to be as time consuming as i think your mind is making it. you tear it down at the gym, but i'd say 70% of your gains come from a proper diet and sleep. just someting to think about.

Thanks again for all the help, all of you collectively rock. I have so many bad habits right now--not eating enough, not working out, not getting enough sleep, etc etc etc. I guess I'd better start getting some semblance of a normal sleep pattern going. And weekly food shopping seems like another must-do. Now it's just a matter of being able to sustain this training.

you need to learn and read and be a sponge on this website. DO all of the things you can do to not touch any gas until you have exhausted all options, then you will be ready to get on the gear

At least you admit your bad habits, Gear is not a miracle drug, you need the proper combo of Training, Diet, rest, etc after these are in check then you will see results!

Yes, I will concur. At 110lbs he can use the carbs right now as long as he takes in enough protein to support muscle growth
