Sisters diet had weird result

she is completely new to dieting and training but she was quite motivated and enthusiastic. she says she feels some harder and stronger already (which doesn`t seem logical in such short term)

shes cutting, shes like 75 kilos, 180 cm, eye guessing at about 30%.

ok ok so my sister followed this diet perfectly for 13 days now,

Meal 1
3 full eggs
3 eggwhites
300 ml milk or yoghurt
50 gram cereal
Multi
P 48.5
C 39
F 21

Meal 2
200 grams chicken breast
cheese 50 gram
ww cereal 50 gram
P 52
C 35
F 14

meal 3
Steak 150 gram when raw
ww sandwich with cheese
100 gram broccoli
P 62
C 40
F 15

meal 4
130 grams of tuna with salad, bit of olive oil.
2 eggwhites
50 grams cheese
half a slice ww bread
P 57
C 20
F 22

post workout juice ~300 ml
C 30

C 164 grams 656
P 219 grams 876
f 72 grams 648

total 2180 on training day.
non training day is only 30 grams c less.

I honestly believe she followed it perfectly, and she lifted about 3 times a week and did cardio about twice.

still she gained 6.5 lbs.

6.5 lbs! in 13 days.... what the hell

I dont see why it would be water as she used to eat even more carbs before this diet. what da fook?

ps the before and after weights were measured on different scales, however both were in gyms. i do put some trust in a scale thats put in a gym....

the first, in which she was light, was measured in the foo-foo kind of gym full of old women wanting to lose weight. the last in a hardcore roiders gym, of the low budget kind. perhaps both were a bit off to please their folks.

to be sure im having her measure her waist again tho. i still have a measure from 2 weeks ago.
see if that 6 lbs could be anything correct...

you cant really gain 6 lbs in 13 days without growing your waist can you?

her waist standing up abs flexed smallest point horizontal is now 73 cm.

13 days ago it was 75 cm. HEY.
fook these scales. they must be incorrect right?

so should she just continue this diet for another week and see what happens?
or still lower the cals?

different scales, different time of day, many things can contribute.

I know i can as much as five pounds different every day.

another guy advised that I should still drop the cals a bit say to 1800, and see what happens. she may not have really gained 6.5 lbs but she also probably hasn`t lost anything.

What everyone above said - basically you have 2 data points which doesn't tell you much. Especially over a short period of time - I've found it generally takes 3 weeks of tight dieting for me to see some results - during that time the body is still trying to adjust to the new regimen- be it diet or training.

Also if she is changing how she eats significantly, she may be retaining water and its going to be another week or so for it to start dropping. Two weeks isn't a long time to see results - the secret to getting results is consistency and patience. And also if you are going to hold to accuracy in your measuring tools, your measuring tools need to be accurate - same scale, same time of day, etc. There are too many other factors to sweat any changes on the order of 5 lbs or so.

Post how she is doing 2 weeks from now or just take those measurements (on the same scale) every 2 weeks for the next 6-8 weeks and see what her results are. Then you can be more certain!

Plus her diet is not exactly the greatest for losing weight. She needs to lower her carb and fat intake more, then she'll lose weight.

If her calories in < calories out, she will lose weight, regardless of carb/fat intake.
