Signs have been posted at my gym:

Effective today, if weights aren't reracked your membership will be suspended for 1 week.

About fucking time!!

There's nothing like walking all around the gym looking for the other dumbell, more plates, having to take plates off to get to other different plates. People are just lazy as fuck. It's like driving around the mall parking lot for 15 minutes looking for the close spot ... YOU'RE GOING IN THE MALL TO WALK ANYWAY DUMB FUCKS!!! You're in the gym to move weight ... move it back when you're finished.

I once saw a cock leave 1000lbs. on the legpress and walk out. The next user was a 110 lbs. woman. Needless to say I was damn pissed at having to unload it for her - moving 100lbs. plates screws your workout. I also dislike dumbell dropping. If you can load it or pick it up you can put it down especially if you are doing reps.

I can see putting the plates back where you found them but is far as the dumbell droping after doing a set with 120 lb dumbells its a little heavier at the end than when you picked them up. I say drop away.

At a Gold's I lifted at once there was a sign above the DB rack...

DROP THE WEIGHTS, LOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP

It made me smile:)

One of the reasons I don't use dumbells much anymore is because I work to failure on some sets. What are the alternatives to dropping if you don't have a training partner. Flat dumbells can mess you up if you try to ease them on the floor out to the sides. The best bet is to hope that you can bring your knees in close, set the dumbells on there, and then bring yourself back up. The reverse for the way that I set up for the lift. This is usually what I do if I'm not training to failure on a set.

Having said that, there's nothing worse than working out with a pair of dumbells that look like the plates are gonna fall off. Scary shit.

i can understand people getting pissed about the wieght thing but ill have to agree after a set, fuck it drop em, isnt that what the rubber mats are for?!?

I need a sign for my gym that says "Dont stand in front of the rack you punk ass bitch":(

Right next to the one that says "If you're stupid, don't load 16 plates on the hack squat without people around that can lift it off of you". I still laugh at that story as sad as it was.

I wasn't refering to the controlled drop but the all-out plummet with zero effort where some sloppy bitch just tosses them - and this is far more frequent than actual hard work going on.

You should visit my gym bro, they have some real "characters" its a freak show.:)

I wish the signs would work where I go. People will take the weights upstairs so I'm looking around and by the time I find the other one, my heartrate is dropped to the point where I feel like I just got there. Our sign is chaesy but funny. It says see dick come. See dick workout. See dick get kicked out for not racking his weights. DON'T BE A DICK!!.

I have seen someone drop a dumbbell and bend it when it hit at an angle. As it was a nice new Ivanko, I was not real happy. It was there last time there.

There are signs up all over my gym (World) that say membership requires reracking of weights, and they announce the same about every 15 minutes on the PA. What do I do at least 3x/night -- put away about 200 lbs of free weights.

I'm turning into the weight nazi & i dont' even work there.

We need those signs a my gym... Constantly, I see lazy shitheads leave all of the weight on machines and flailing about like they are kings of something.

:destroy:

:D
That's become my unpaid job at my gym too. But I usually vocalize exactly what I think about the people as I rack them loudly.

a sign at our gym- PICK UP YOUR WEIGHTS<MAMMA DOESN"T PICK UP BEHIND YOU HERE!!!! RADAR

MAn I hate replacing plates I takes more time placing and replacing the plates that I lift them

:'(

One hole in the wall 24/7 gym I used to go to had signs that said "If you're man enough to lift it, you're man enough to put it back". I always loved that one.

We have signs taped on the mirrors at the Gold's I'm at but these jack asses either can't read or are just lazy f*cks ... maybe both!

Seems like everyone at my gym takes pretty good care of the weights. I never have to search for things. It's a Gold's that changed ownership...don't know if that has anything to do with it.

How bout all the dumbells at my gym over 80 pounds are warped from dicks throwing them after they are done pressing them for 2 reps with assistance.

Sometimes when you go heavy you may have drop the dumbells a LITTLE a few inches from the ground. I don't .....BUT I see these dumb fucks literally drop the dumbells form ear height...

It makes me sick.

finally people are starting to enforece that. nothing makes me more pissed off and unfocused than dumbasses who don't put the weights where they got them. i just want to throw a 110 at their head.
