Shoulders aren't getting stronger...

Hey fellas, need some help
Over the last 6-9 months or so, my strength has been skyrocketing...almost every week I am lifting heavier weight, or doing more reps....except for shoulders. My split consists of working every muscle group twice a week, chest/tri's, back/bi's, legs/shoulders.
So I'm looking for suggestions as to why my shoulders aren't getting any stronger...I've been stuck repping 135 standing military press for probably close to 3 months...and btw, this is only for 4-6 reps. Along with military press, I'm doing both side and front raises...and on occassion I substitute dumbell press for military press.
Our routine, ironically, IS working for my workout partner, as his shoulder strength continues to increase...and he's leaving me behind...he's repping out 185, and I'm not that far behind him on any other exercise. We are training with the same weight for squats, D.L., and my 1RM on bench is only 10lbs behind

I'm stumped guys, please help...

What does the rest of your routine look like?

If you've been stuck at 135x4-6 for up to 3 months, you've got to change something.

It might be relatively minor, could be major--just be ready to make a change.

Is it possible that your shoulders need more recovery time?

I would considering adding some plyo or speed work too. I think that was a good suggestion. Maybe one day heavy one day "explosive."

My diet has changed in the recent weeks, and I am getting roughly 4500 cals a day...although that is going to increase soon with the addition of more complex carbs. I wouldn't relate the lack of strength increase to lack of food, because the rest of my body is seeing strength increase.

I am planning on eating more soon...incorporating more veggies and complex carbs to put my daily cal. intake to over 5000 a day.

As far as triceps...I don't know that I'd consider them strong *shrug*...I don't consider any of my lifts strong, but my triceps have made some good strength increases the last several months..while my shoulders have lagged.

Do you all think I should do shoulders on a different day maybe?

Yeah, PH and Step off are on to something. I've seen a couple threads where you say you don't eat enough, and then just the other day (last week) on Muscle Food you were working on cleaning up your diet. If you give that more time, you may see some results from the additional cals.

Also, are you still squatting and deadlifting twice a week in addition to your shoulder work 2x a week?

You are right, this higher calorie diet is very new...I will give it more time.

I am squatting twice a week, but only deadlifting once a week. I AM working back twice a week, but the second routine does not include deads.

Cool. I'm sure that will help a lot.

I would still consider making one of your shoulder days more explosive. It will probably help your strength & allow for recovery, in one shot.
