shoulder problems

I'm about to start physiotherapy for my shoulder, I hurt it about a month ago and think that I might have torn my rotator cuff, just wondering if physio will fix this or will I end up having to get it cut.

Yes physical therapy CAN fix it. Will it? That depends on alot of things such as what you do when you arent in therapy. The shoulder is very tricky when it comes to surgery and Dr Andrews of ESPN fame for treating alot of pro athletes once said to me....

"There are 2 absolute truths in surgery.....one is that if you cut the aorta, it will bleed. The other is that there isnt anything surgery cant make worse."

My advice is to do exactly what your therapist says, and nothing more. The shoulder isnt like your knee or hip. It is not a weightbearing joint. It is a floating joint, basically made by muscles and their attachments. Just like you can heal a torn quad or pec, you can heal a torn RTC.
