Should MODS have term limits, yes or no????

These people are voted upon by ourselves, to nominate good people to positions to help keep the board going.
But absolute power corrupts absolutely and some no longer are connected to the people who voted for them and dont even try to moderate once they get their status. They are no longer representatives of the people that put them in their position.
Meaning, some should be fired and a new election should be held. Thats the American Way.
Its funny to see threads deleted when this topic is broached. Reminds me of communism and totalitarianism.
Or Arab states that totally control the news. I may be banned, in an Arab country this same mod mentality may kill my family. But, this is America, where we can have freedom of speech, correct???

A bunch of those mods are moderaters to a specific forum. Like ZK was made mod of the style, fashion, and grooming forum and he moderates that pretty well. A few others are anabolic board mods so we see them here rarely....

The older mods could be part of the Elite Senate, long term, more power of moderation, a more thoughtful, deliberate body.

The Elite House of Representatives could be where more outspoken active posters campaign and represent their bases and their group of ideas.

The House could come with legislation and pass it, then it would be sent to the Senate. A more long term thinking bunch who would approve or disapprove like the real Senate. Its said that if the House was a hot cup of tea about to spill over, the Senate is the saucer.

If killed by the Senate, it would die or be sent back for better rewording.

If approved, the Bill would be sent to Digger or George as president to be signed into online law or to be vetoed. There would be no way to override the veto though since George is really king and the owner in reality. But this could be fun


We could also have a Elitefitness Supreme Court where there were members appointed for life by George who deems fit, friends, older members that understand his vision and context. Made up both liberals and conservative types, like Wodin and Lestat and Matttheskywalker, master debaters

Absolutely, I would, the order of the masked members would all be new mods. Maybe Soklu too for females, frisky, a new batch of females, etc... New blood, rotate the positions of power to be fair. Then they step down after theyve done their part for the community

The older mods could be part of the Elite Senate, long term, more power of moderation, a more thoughtful, deliberate body.

The Elite House of Representatives could be where more outspoken active posters campaign and represent their bases and their group of ideas.

The House could come with legislation and pass it, then it would be sent to the Senate. A more long term thinking bunch who would approve or disapprove like the real Senate. Its said that if the House was a hot cup of tea about to spill over, the Senate is the saucer.

If killed by the Senate, it would die or be sent back for better rewording.

If approved, the Bill would be sent to Digger or George as president to be signed into online law or to be vetoed. There would be no way to override the veto though since George is really king and the owner in reality. But this could be fun


We could also have a Elitefitness Supreme Court where there were members appointed for life by George who deems fit, friends, older members that understand his vision and context. Made up both liberals and conservative types, like Wodin and Lestat and Matttheskywalker, master debaters

As George himself pointed out recently, Customer Service is not reading the boards. They're not SUPPOSED to be reading the boards. They're processing your support tickets.

Your ticket number is something to keep between YOU and customer service, not you and the Chat board. There is NO reason to post a ticket number on the board. All that could possibly do is give someone a chance to screw around and interfere with solving your problem.

Anyone who tells you to POST about a customer support issue is part of the problem, good intentions not withstanding.

I posted a ticket a few days ago and received no response.

I updated it with a comment and received no response.

I think this is a good idea but very technical I think your first idea of a 6 month term is much easier to sort out.


One thing is for sure it would do something the board has needed, some action and or drama. Lately the board has been dead.

This is what I've been saying on the mod board for months now. Between us mods in there, we know who's pulling their weight and whose not. I feel those of us (and you know who you are!) that just go to the mod board for it's "fun and games" and do NOT moderate to their full potential, should maybe get what's coming to them. It IS hard work being a mod, people don't see what goes on behind the scenes, but we're doing stuff that no one sees and appreciates. That is the price we pay for being a mod. The price we pay for enjoying the mod board and all it's benefits/free links/parties/pics/gifts...etc etc... Sure we want to keep all those things, but come on people, do your job to keep the benefits! Fucking freeloaders!
