Should MODS have term limits, yes or no????

These people are voted upon by ourselves, to nominate good people to positions to help keep the board going.
But absolute power corrupts absolutely and some no longer are connected to the people who voted for them and dont even try to moderate once they get their status. They are no longer representatives of the people that put them in their position.
Meaning, some should be fired and a new election should be held. Thats the American Way.
Its funny to see threads deleted when this topic is broached. Reminds me of communism and totalitarianism.
Or Arab states that totally control the news. I may be banned, in an Arab country this same mod mentality may kill my family. But, this is America, where we can have freedom of speech, correct???

I call for a new round of moderator slots. Keep the good ones, get rid of the sorry elitists!!!!!!!

exactly my point, people come and go, you are very active and obviously sane, you are at least here and participate and discuss and for the most part keep your cool.
SO, you are here and can moderate, everyone likes you, you should be a moderator of this forum
No doubt if an election was held you'd win a position. No doubt those who once got the title became too good to hang out with the common folks like us would be voted out.
If you got the position and changed, then the next round of elections, you'd be voted out as well.
The good mods like Radar and Pam and others could form the Senate, elite moderators, longer terms.
We need a house of representatives with shorter term limits.

More balanced

We could have campaigns and such, thatd spice up the board. Political operatives posting up quotes to have them respond etc... would be fun.

I agree, there are plenty of mods that don't even frequent the boards.
