Should I disown my daughter?

Keep with it. She might have to hit rock bottom even before she becomes a good woman, BUT SHE'LL BADLY NEED SOMEONE THEN. Thats parenting. Plus, I doubt you would be happy with disowning her, ever.

Lmfao @ Runs The Streets From 3pm To 11pm!!! "damn Kids Running Around, Swapping Pokemons With Reckless Abandon!!" Oh My God I Am Dying Of Laughter!!!
I was reading this thread and was shocked that it took so long for someone to mention the time thing.

When I was 17 I'd come home at 4am piss drunk on weekends and my gpa was nowhere good as hers.she's a hs senior. I came out ok (kinda lol)..fuck dude, partying is what senior year is all about. Yeah hitting her mom is not cool and fucked up but there tons of kids that are worse out there.

Unless she's tricking on the corner or selling crack you need to chill the fuck out. To not be a part of her life for 98 percent of it and then threaten to disown her is beyond fucked up dude. You seem like a good guy from your other posts so I'm sure if you take a step back you'll be supportive but firm. Life for teenagers now is A LOT diff then when you grew up.

This isn't best buy, you don't get to return the item for a refund because it's not working to your liking.

Yea like it's that easy!!!

I didn't even really notice the 11 but I was alot worse at that age and had to go in the Army or Jail. I picked the Army and it changed my life. She make her own mistakes to learn from because I had older people telling me what not to do and I still had to go try it anyway.

Im sorry man....If theres anyone that can get through to her its you..

Same. Big groups of us aged 15/16+ (male and female) getting pissed & staying out until 2-4am in the morning. We live in a pretty rural area so if someone didn't have an empty you could go anywhere that's reasonably secluded & not get lifted for under age drinking.

Never done us any harm & was a great way to socialise.

Seriously, even the hitting her mum part, was it like a heated argument that just got out of control (open handed slap), escalated legally and resulted in 2 weeks in juvenile?

Sounds like a normal teenage girl to me. Heck she's using the pill, that's a Brucey bonus nowadays! :)

Seriously, I thought when I was going to open this thread she was doing hard drugs, pregnant, in and out of jail etc. :FRlol:

Never give-up, but do make sure rules and boundaries are in place. Too many parents today confuse "giving up" with "not letting your kid run all over you".

Also, it seems like a lot of parents today just wallow in the muck with their kids -- my ex-wife does that. If my 14 year old asks for something I can't or don't want to do, I simply say "no" and move on with the program. My ex will start fighting, which immediately lowers her to the child's level. Always remember that you're the parent, and if you give that up to fight with them as peers, expect a fight any and every time they don't get what they want.

Not to say children are dogs -- i'm saying nothing of the sort... but watch a few episodes of "The Dog Whisperer". Remember you're the pack leader and the members of your pack will be happier and less stressed when they know you are there leading.
Rule #1: Never allow yourself to be chided into an argument with a child
