Yeah, I was pregnant but didn't know it yet. He got mad, locked me out, I tried to get in the bedroom by prying open the window. He grabbed a full length mirror and broke out two windows charging at me like a f'ing bull. Then he grabbed my wrists and was scraping them on the shards of glass still in the window, saying "You wanna get cut bitch. I'll cut you." It was very lucky that I wasn't seriously injured or had a miscarriage.

Before that, he had slammed my fingers in a door once and pushed me up against a door in the boat, which blacked my eye and twisted my ankle.

He feels absolutely no remorse for it. That is just the way he is.

You don't have to be "hard" to grow up around those types of Italians. No matter what your background is, being 1st generation means being raised by off-the-boat parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins, friends...like KB and I. Every relative I know came here not to start a goddamn crime family, but to work hard and stick to the morals they were taught and grew up appreciating in their country. The true Italians you see are hard working, loyal, loving, stubborn.
