Well, Id say stay the hell away if I didnt have 2 very close friends of mine who met their current wives/girlfriends while they were still 15-16 years old. I know that sounds fuckin nuts... but for their age they actually were very mature, and ended up hanging out with my group of guys constantly while we were all "growing up". At that time we were all 20-23 years old.
My father is 10 years older than my mother, and as someone said above... 10 years down the road it wont matter.
I dont advise to have any sexual relations with anyone under 18... however, i damn sure wouldnt crucify you for it because that would make me a hypocrite since I approve/approved of my friends relationships with the 2 girls I mentioned (both couples are still together by the way, and the girls are now both 22)

I think it just depends on what type of girl she is. Does she look like the girl that would scream statatory rape to the cops if you 2 fight or split? (dont know if your dating or not).

My point is that there are phases of maturity in life - IMO under 20 is a big diff from 21, under 30 is a big diff from 31+. If both people are at least past the 20 point then the age difference doesn't matter that much, but under 20, or at least under 18 you are really talking a child mentality and I mean that not like 20 yr old guys (or even 40 yr old guys) are much beyond a child mentality, but at least they've experienced life beyond a child mentality. I'm sure there are exceptions, but if you want to play the odds, I'd stay the hell away from it.

IMO the gulf of maturity between someone who just learned how to drive & someone who has been out on their own for at least 2 yrs is huge. Fine, you can have sex - but chances are she's going to be looking for a relationship. You want to go to "the dance" on Friday nite w/ all the other teenieboppers? What sort of things do you talk about? All her friends on the cheerleading squad who are bitches?
Sure it can depend on the particular girl, but I've generally found that people who are at different places in their lives (doesn't always mean an age gap) dont' make for good relationships. And she's probably emotionally very immature (LMAO... not that guys aren't at age 20 or 40... but guys aren't generally as cerebral about it as girls are).
Also wonder what her parents say? Since she's under age she is still the responsibility of her parents and you aren't -- what do they say about it?

I know age is just a number but when I was younger I always found girls (especially under 20) to be so fuckin dramatic. If it's just a fuck just be honest with her. These days that's fairly common. I'd say she'd be down with it and if she is you have a fuck buddy with no drama = damn good scenario.

I find it interesting that the most important point of interestin this whole thread is whether or not she's legal??? WTF? What exactly is it that you are looking for in this whole thing? She's not just "a fuck". Well, maybe she is - if that's all you are to her, then go for it & just be sure to use protection. But (again I have no idea who this person is) you cannot remove the fact that she's 16. As noted, girls are dramatic and confused enough even into their 20s - it certainly doesnt' get better if she's not even 18 yet. If you want to deal w/ that and respect her, then go for it. Don't forget she's also most likely under her parents' protection as well, so just respect her as a person and not a 16 yr old fuck.
