you could tell from camera shots who was out coached? sweet man.. ill have to let the world in on that secret..
actually you can learn from facial expressions what an individual is feeling
e.g. a frown
that's simplistic
and you're a dumbass
no facial feedback needed

and don't get your phanites in wad and turn this otherwise good discussion of why the steelers victory stinks as a dog poo,
into a controntation

whatever, do you know anything about football? if you did, you would know that there were at least 4 calls against seattle that impacted the outcome of the game. i'm not saying the refs were paid off or anything, but they called a bad game. if i'm such a moron, please tell me why all the sports news websites are talking about how the refs made so many bad calls?

There *were* 4 calls that went against Seattle (along with 2 pretty major ones against PGH)

Let's pretend that all 6 calls go Seattle's way, even though PGH only got 4 of the calls, and still won 21-10.

1) Roeth's TD is stopped on the 1-vaginal-hair line. PGH was 100% on 4th and goal during the regular season. If they go for the field goal, they make it. They could probably get the 7 anyway, but let's assume they go for the field goal. This would drop the score to 17-10, Steelers.

2) The Pass interference - it *was* pass interference, there is no doubt about that. Whether it should've been called is up to anyone's interpretation. But screw it! Let's pretend it doesn't get called and Seattle gets the TD, because hey, we can be generous!

OOPS! Seattle is STILL down 17-14.

3) Block below the waist - technically correct (like the "tuck" rule), but horrendously stupid. Also horrendously irrelevant, as the rookie that was covering Hines Ward (great move, BTW, putting a rookie in single coverage against Hines Ward) bit SO HARD on that end around, that Ward could've caught the ball, laid on his back, lifted his legs, and farted his way into the end zone. Seriously. Dude had enough time to order a pizza and wait for it. No way was the rookie gonna catch up to him.

Randle-El has an absolute rocket for an arm, he had all damn day to make the pass, and he is accurate as heck (4 for 4 during the season, 15 for 17 during his career). It didn't matter whether Randle-El passes that ball from midfield or his own 35, that ball was going to land in Ward's hands, and the only affect the Hasselback penalty had was that Ward had to take a few less steps to get to the end zone. So this (agreeably poor) call was irrelevant to the outcome.

4) Locklear holding - well, offensive lineman aren't supposed to grab the jersey outside the arms. Again, like the pass interference call, it was definitely a "penalty", according to the rules, but whether it shold've been called or not is to anyone's discretion.

5) The Hasselbeck fumble - it got called back in Seattle's favor...not all major calls went against Seattle - this would've had FAR more impact than Hasselbeck's block

6) The illegal pick that resulted in the Seahawks' TD - Polamalu got picked, period. That is illegal. Regardless, it didn't get called (that's 2 in Seattle's favor!) and Seattle scores.

now then, let's recap.

As it stands, there were 6 "questionable" calls in the game, 4 went against Seattle. In order to make it "fair", 3 would go for PGH, 3 would go for Seattle.

Doesn't matter which of the disputed calls you switch to make things "fair", game still goes to PGH by at least a TD.

Let's give Seattle 4 of the 6 calls (just like PGH got), any 4 of the 6. Still, PGH wins, and a field goal wouldn't have tied it (assuming Seattle could actually manage the play clock, which they proved in both halves that they couldn't).

Let's give Seattle ALL 6 of the calls. Granted, PGH only got 4 of the calls, but Seattle really needed the help. PGH would STILL be up 17-14, with Seattle being on the 2 yard line (the Locklear hold)

PGH gets 4 out of 6 calls, they win 21-10
Seattle gets all 6 calls, they are STILL DOWN 17-14.

*yawn* keep on whining, Seattle.

Maybe next time consider covering Hines Ward on 3rd and 28. I know, radical defensive strategy, covering the other team's #1 receiver for the last half decade, on an obvious passing down.

Or maybe not give up the longest run from scrimmage in the history of the SB.

Or maybe lobby to get stikkum allowed back in the league (for Stevens' and Engram's sakes). That was 4 drives Seattle had to punt that would've been kept alive had they not had hands of steel.

GG Seattle, look forward to our Super Bowl XLI rematch, assuming you can sign all those free agents.

good point, rothliswhatever touched the line, the ball did not... 4th and an inch is better then 7 points.

If it would have been 4th down the steelers would have kicked a FG all the commentators said so to put points on the board.
