Seattle Was Robbed

It was a hold. You can't grab a defensive player outside the arms and spin him halfway around and nearly rag him down. It was obviously a hold. Even the 20 or so Seahawks fans that I was stuck watching the game acknowledged that one on the replay. One of them even saw it BEFORE the pass was thrown.

first of all, the defender was offsides on that play and that wasn't called. then the so called holding penalty was called on the block against the guy that was offsides. if you have the game taped, look at that play and you'll see the pittsburgh defender was offsides.

the ball was past the line. Happened while Roeth was up in the air before he came down. TD. Even if the Steelers don't get that TD and kick a field goal, guess what? Final Score: Steelers 17, Seahawks 10. Oops.

well, the ball was not past the line. even roethlisburger admitted that. and that completely changes the game at that point, so you can't just say 17-10. oops. roethlisburger said they would have went for it on 4th down, so they either would have scored the touchdown or not had any points since they were not going to go for a field goal.

What the fuck? The league APOLOGIZED and already admitted that the call was wrong.

and i said that it was an interception, but the ref thought that polamolu did not make a football move after the catch, and that is a judgement call on his part.

the call was pretty consistent throughout the year. If you toss it up and the 2 players jump for it, if one gets his hand on the other, it's interference. If you use your body to block the other while going up for the ball, no interference.

i dont know about that. i've watched a lot of football, and that call is pretty rare on a play like that. yes, he made contact with the defender, but it was nothing major, and the espn announcers argued that a call on a play like that is very rare and ticky tacky

YOU CAN'T SEE THE 'HOOK' CAN YOU..

Hand(s) or arm(s) that encircle a defender—i.e., hook an opponent—are to be considered illegal and officials are to call a foul for holding.

for one, the defender who got "held" was offsides on the play, and that wasn't called.
have you ever played football or watched the linemen throughout a game? much worse holds happen on most plays, and usually only the worst holds are called. dont let a picture fool you, it only shows what is happening at that exact moment, but tells you nothing about the force. that hold was very questionable. i saw many holds by both teams throughout the game that were not called, so to call that hold on that play is why there is so much bitching about it.

whatever, do you know anything about football? if you did, you would know that there were at least 4 calls against seattle that impacted the outcome of the game. i'm not saying the refs were paid off or anything, but they called a bad game. if i'm such a moron, please tell me why all the sports news websites are talking about how the refs made so many bad calls?
steelers victory doesn't pass the smell test
hell the smell test completed more passes than ben
I'm fed up with hearing too that "pittsburgh played poor"
no shit
you think this was a scrimmage
Pitt got beat in so many phases of the game
from the coaching(i.e. play calling) into the trenches action
weakest super bowl victory ever
