yeah i wanna use the first minute of that song. The first 30 seconds or so a kinda slow, so i can hit some ground poses. Then just go mental the last 30 :D

ill tape a practice when i have the routine down. im still not quite sure how it should look.

Whenever you're ready - I'll give any suggestions if I can :) What are the requirements - is it just like US NPC -- 90 seconds of music, whatever you want to do? What are your best poses?

60 seconds here.
my best poses as i see it are side chest, any side pose that i can show of the arms. becasue in front and back poses the arms get overpowered by the rest of my physique. rear latspread is also a good one, and any poses showing of my legs. lately ive been looking better and better in that old Arnold pose to.

only with my other arm outstretched underneath, to show od the triceps on that arm.

MM - couple questions ---

- do you do a no-music personal posing routine in addition to the music routine? Or just the group mandatory poses / symmetry round & individual posing routine w/ music?

- As a place to start - consider just doing the mandatories in a circle, i.e. the quarter turns & the poses that go w/ each -- e.g.

front double bi + front lat spread or most muscular
qtr turn to the right
side chest + side tri pose
qtr turn to the right
rear double bi + lat spread
qtr turn to the right
side chest + side tri pose (other side)
qtr turn to the right (facing front again)
abs & thighs + your favorite front facign pose

That's a good base to start w/ and then work on better transitions between each. Its a thought if you need a place to start. The get fancy from there.

Also let me know if you need any music mixed - I've got the software here to do some sorta fancy cutting if you need.

Hey thanks, i think that is a good idea. Im not exactly the smoothes of guys, so i need something easy to get thru. Ill try this out to the music as is first, and then get back to you. I forsee that you might have to do a little mixing to make it fit how i would like it to.

Really appriciate this :)

Its just agroup mandatory and callouts. Adn then the top 5 goes on to do the musci routine and finals. you can dl the rules here if you are wondering about it http://www.nkf-ifbb.no/downloads/2006MensClassicBodybuildingRules.pdf

Starting w/ the qtr turns / mandatories is definitely the easiest. Make sure you hold each pose you choose for a decent amount of time - like 3 sec so you aren't plowing thru them too fast & the judges can't see the pose itself. Its probably fair to pick some of your fav Arnold poses to throw in there or anything else that is classic. I was gonna ask if you still do the splits? That's always a massive crowd pleaser!

That's an interesting set of rules - they cap the classes by weight AND height. No 300 lb 5'4" guys.

Hm, i do do the splits. i gotta see how it feels doing them when posing. maybe finish off with it if it get it to work.

Ok so the the posing routine is 60 seconds long. I should just throw the poses i want to to in addition to the mandatory when im in the stance they need.

Yeah, the rules of the classic is the only reason i felt that i could compete. being 6'2 (189cm) id have to be over 220 pounds (100kg) to have anything to do in a show. But here i can be whatever and still not look out of place. I hope, hehe. Im 8 weeks out today, 92kgs. so probably gonna weigh in quite a few kgs under 90. skinny fuck :D

Im getting some posing pointers later today from this dude. He won the -80kg class nationals 2 years ago. And he got the award for best poser. He will help me with just being able to hit the mandatory every time.
