Hey guys, I’m new to the discussion boards as well as a novice weightlifter. I’m 22, 5’10, 175 lbs. my goal is to gain 30-50 lbs. of lean mass over the entire course of my weightlifting career, Im not really interested in strength gains as much as size gains. I've been doing this routine for about 3 months now and I’m pretty happy with it, but I just wanted to know what you guys think? If it’s good or Ill probably end up over training. I know everybody’s body reacts differently to different workout routines but any comments or advice is appreciated. I do a two-day on and two days off routine.
Mon: Chest, Triceps, Shoulders
Tue: Back, Biceps, Legs
Wed: Rest
Thurs: Rest
Fri: Chest, Triceps, Shoulders
Sat: Back, Biceps, Legs
Sun: Rest
Mon: Rest
Etc, Etc……..
**Abs: Every other day**
Each workout I do mixed exercises to total 12 sets for large muscle groups and 6 sets for smaller muscle groups. It feels like a good workout but I might be headed for over training disaster, I don’t know? I've been eating every 3 hours, and getting a bit fatter, I was thinking about cardio but I don’t know how much to do. I've always heard that cardio is bad if you want to build muscle. Is this true? If not how much should I do? Again anything anyone can tell me would be great.
Thanks for your time,
ZERoFOXX
