so its like poison ivy, i can spread it to the rest of my body?- im being serious, its on my leg, can it easily get to my special areas?AAP said:Lamisil should be your choice.
tinactin, selsen blue (dandruff shampoo), Lotrimin.... all work, but take a long time.
IT CAN SPREAD EASILY!! If you get it in your hairline... kiss your chances goodbye of getting rid of it without going to the Dr and getting Lamisil oral tabs. (Which are like $3 per tab) One guy I know battled it for over 2 years with the various sprays and creams. He would get it cleared in one spot, and it would just move. When they clear up, they still leave behind a pale circle for months. He looked like a giraffe. So don't touch it. If it is on your face, be very careful when shaving as you can easily make it ooze (worse than it normally does) and spread over your body when you wash your face.
When you use Lamisil, MAKE SURE that you CONTINUE to use Lamisil on the spot and surrounding area for TWO WEEKS after it has gone away. Even when you can't see, continue to put lamisil on it so you make sure you kill anything left. Or else, it starts all back over again.

herpes can be controlled with antivirals but once you have it you are stuck with it forever.
