I'm not doing them, but for what it's worth, some Doggcrappers swear it's their favorite triceps exercise.
IIRC, Dogg himself doesn't like dips as much as I do (I think they're the best triceps exercise for my structure), so wide reverse grips/Barbarians in a Smith machine and close-grip bench are his top two tri movements.
Dante/Dogg's not inclined to pick a shitty exercise, so at the very least it's worth a try. Just be careful...even in the Smith, a heavy bar slipping out of your hands could be...hmm. Ugly I bet it also takes some getting used to, but as long as you think about pushing away from the body it oughta torch your tris.
