yes, I used to buy refurb stuff all the time. It's as good as new! When a product goes in to be refurbed the replace everything anyways.


The only difference I ever noticed is it didn't come in a fancy box, usually just a brown box.

for SEO purposes- some of the deals are great, and come from good refurbishers.

refurbished HP pavilions, some macs and dell laptops are refurbished due to defective nvidea graphic cards

they just go and replace them with the same motherboard and they fry in a year again and you are back to square one.

As long as it has a full warranty and no defects to begin with then it shouldn't be a problem

no, blu ray doesnt have a long enough track record for refurbs since the technology is too new. Pay the extra cash and get piece of mind and guaranteed quality.

what does that have to do with anything? They're refurbed for a reason. Meaning at some point, the brand new ones shit the bed and had to be repaired.

Electronics usually go bad within 72 hours if at all, which is why they burn in computers for 24 hours.

Buy used PS3. PS3 plays EVERYTHING, has WIFI, plays GAMES, has BD-LIVE and has more audio outputs.

refurbished does not mean rebuilding the entire product

A refurbished computer on ebay is 9 times out of 10 one used in an mass office building and the lease people are selling them.

They go through the product and test it, but they do not rebuild it, it would cost too much money

I guess it's the Ebay thing thats got me. I have been buying on Ebay for 8 years with good luck. I'm also a systems admin and I wouldn't buy refurb computers because I don't want someone else's problem.

I should probably just go new. I have an 8% Ebay coupon plus another 8% with MS Cashback.

Blu Ray is still stupidly expensive in my opinion.

once you get a new player upgrade the firmware - sometimes they'll take forever to load blu ray discs
