Red Dead: Redemption to get 30 minute show on Fox this Saturday night

sorry if that turns anyone off, I love western style games so I'll play this one an hour or two at a time

one of the best parts is when you join a multi game, there is always a face off, 5 v 5 or 8 v 3 or whatever, shoot the heads!

Then you run around and gain better weapons - but you lose them when you die.

I'd like to see it where you level up your character and maintain the good shit....'course then you have the 12 year olds who don't have jobs with the best shit....eh...you'll have that...

What I wanted to see was a massive online world where you can do all kinds of ill shit (lol) and offshoot into multi modes for missions/gang fights/etc.

There's also an almost noobish auto aim function. Requires very little skill. Left trigger - target locked, right trigger (after a couple shots), target dead.

I guess PC is still king on that type of gameplay.

The best part about these types of games are the sandbox, do what you want, experimental gameplay. A purchase for me, but when it hits the bargain bin.

gonna be a while till it hits the bargain bin.. nhl 10 still costs 50 bucks and it's been out half a year.

If you press X too many times (making the horse go faster) it'll kick you off cause its pissed at you. The blue bar on the bottom left hand side of your screen shows it's stamina...when it runs out you get pwnt.

Once you get newer (stronger) horses their stamina will be a bit higher.

I figured that's what it was...I had a horse where it kept giving me loyalty bonus' or something. But then I accidently jumped off a cliff with it and it died.

FML.


also...you gotta be careful who you shoot. I shot an innocent dude and stole his horse cuz I killed mine and then I had a bounty on my head and got pissed and just started killing everyone and ended up with like a 700 Bounty on my head and no money to pay it off. FML

You know, free roam-do what you want-gameplay.

Also, RD:R ain't high enough on my list of time and money to be $60 worth. I'd get it for under 30 though. The next game on my list to buy will be Killzone 3, unless Valve surprises us with Half Life 3 first.
