Re-using same pin.

Is it ok to inject half your syringe amount into one glute and then the rest in the other...assuming you've used a draw pin for gear and switched to fresh pin.

Umm, Honestly it probably won't make a difference, but in the medical field you could get introuble for doing that.

Not a good practice.

not a good idea - increases the chance of infection on the 2nd shot, and also it wont be near as sharp on the 2nd push

I would change the needle if possible. Or at least wipe it off with my cock first.

Exactly. Even if he does not touch the needle tip or allow anything else to touch it there is still a risk of developing an infection. Could get a speckle of dust or anything air borne on it, thus leading to a wonderful staph infection that then will lead to many other health issues...
And as far as not being as sharp that is true, there is more chances of it getting a bur on the tip and such. That alone can hurt, irritate, tear, ect which would then turn into a wonderful bruise and inflammation.
Never a great idea to reuse a needle no matter what the substance is inside and no matter how careful you think that you are going to be!!!

what on earth can cause such a situation where you can't use a new. sterile. individually wrapped. needle. for. every. damn. injection???!!

plan ahead nuggas!!

Definitly use a clean, new, sterile pin PLEASE!! Just think back to not to long ago when every other thread was about "Is this an infection, red warm lump wont go away" Maybe most were about ug labs type of gear, but why even take the chance bro, its not worth it because if you get an infection, docter+antibiotic does not=1 pin, in all terms.

I'd prob do the two cc and find out , save the second pin in one siting routine .

Brad.

lmfao you guys are nuts throwing 3cc's into one muscle

in my very humble opinion, you guys should start rotating spots

not only will you have more stable blood levels, but you'll thank yourselves down the road when that scar tissue doesn't build up.

LOL, you kill me swole. I can just see you sitting there shaking your head...this board rocks.

the cost of pins are the cheapest - supportive product you can purchase....It's not worth the risk. I'll change a pin in the spliting of a sec. Always lean towarss the side of descretion.

This better be a joke!

no doubt!

There is a big deal in a Vegas health center now. 40,000 people may have been infected with hep or hiv.

They were using new needles, but reusing the syringes.

I know it is not the same thing. But, never reuse!

Just spend the extra $.10. and if its 2 ml then bang it all at once. even though swole may think I'm crazy but I put 3cc in either delt, quad, or glute without a problem.

lol we're all crazy

what compound at what concentration do you pin @ 3cc?

Granted it is extremely cheap to just use fresh needles, but what a bunch of squeemish and paranoid babies! It won't be sharp! You could get infected! You'll be fine if you go glute:shot:out glute:shot:out. Done. If you do get an infection though, well, forget I said anything.

Yes, but in my case I'd hit different parts of the same arm.

Shoot all 2cc's in one shot. Better that one glute hurts than both. You can dilute it with an extra cc of sterile cutting oil which dramatically reduces site pain.

Exactly. The highest amount that you can inject into one spot is 3cc's, and that is in the ass. 2 cc's in the leg, and 1 cc in the arm. Never go any higher in other spots than recommended as it can lead to many complications!

You know, not that I advocate for reusing pins, but a HUGE number of insulin users inject using the same needle multiple times straight through clothing! They do not have issues with infection and learn to 'feel' when the needle starts to get dull.... I'd never do it, but it is common practice and has been for years without problems.

For what it's worth 2cc's in the glute is nothing .... Just shoot it all at once.

NO.

Once it goes in and out you should never use it again. Period. Considering the risks, and the costs of pins, it should be a nobrainer not to use the same pin in two different spots.

I've never had any problems doing this, but of course its always safer to use a fresh pin. Keep in mind every time the tip of the pin touches something its gets duller. Pins are cheap as hell bro. Just use your best judgment.
