I am trying to see how we can get around pain & stinging of the various peps I am using
Hopefully it will help the other girls facing the same problem.
At times, I don't know how the boys do it.
I have started using L-carnitine as a pre-workout subq
It was quite painful the first time, as L-carnitine is a thick solution; the one I got was 30 ml - 600 mg/ml
Quite some hit and trials with what could work well to reduce this pain
and the following method has turned out to be the best to cope
Problems I had
1. Very thick, very hard to pull up in a syringe, even 25G
2. Quite painful for the same reason: quite thick
3. Painful swelling for almost 24 hours; that's how long it took for it to be absorbed
Solutions Implemented
1. Had to dilute it to almost half, so 0.15 mL of bac water and 0.15 mL of L-carnitine
I used the 29G insulin syringe, first pulled the bac water and then the L-carnitine very slowly, drop by drop (took 2 minutes)
2. Left the injection out for about an hour so it was completely at room temperature; applied lidocaine during this time.
3. Used Lidocaine 4% numbing cream, and put it in a 5 cm x 5 cm square on the stomach, put cling wrap on it, and left it for an hour
Marked it with a marker
4. Sanitised the syringe after pulling the solution to reduce the immediate sting while the needle goes in
n, sanitised the stomach n put the L-Carnitine injection in the centre of the numbed square area
5. For some reason, the painful swelling went down by the evening using this method
Pls feel free to ask any questions
