A few pics from a recent trip to elephant island. View from the road that winds to the end of the island where there’s a cool little tree house resort. About 500m off the very tip there is a little horseshoe shaped island with a palm fringed beach that connects the two halves and a calm turquoise lagoon on the other side. The island has a deserted resort on it, it’s really spooky. The resort is built and ready to be used, everything is brand new, the beach loungers still have the plastic wrap from the manufacturers covering them, there’s a pump house, generators, solar panels and a room full of hugely expensive batteries but nobody is on the island? It’s obviously been abandoned for some years.
A couple of Thanmayom waterfall as dry as it gets. They stop the general public after 400m at the first fall and the Thais being law abiding citizens when it comes to official signs never go any further which is a shame because it winds spectacularly up to the top of the mountain and is quite a challenging climb in places, there’s a huge fall with a deep pool near the top where past Thai kings swam, I go skinny dipping there.
heres a pic of the roller coaster my son wants to go on today but i wont let him - too scary and it just opened yesterday for the first time ever - FAHRENHEIT
