Quitting smoking, I feel so fucking ill, I want to stab out my lungs.

I love nicotine but the withdrawals can be a bitch.
yeah but it's temporary

so are the cravings.

think of it this way: the craving is going to go away whether you decide to have a smoke or not. so might as well NOT.

i focused my thoughts on what every puff was doing to my insides. think of all the smoke you exhale with every puff. well think of all that plus more getting absorbed by your internal organs. it's horrible that we would allow that to occur in the name of a nicotine addiction. I feel very sad for those who cotinue down the road to destruction mostly because I know how it feels. but i can tell you, it feels SO much better ridding yourself of that awful demon

The habit will hit you hard in your 50s and 60s. If you need motivation just go look at smokers that age that cant breath and have to carry oxygen with them at all times knowing that you will never get better.

Get a patch and some m&m's.

Pop a couple of mms when you feel the need to smoke

...or twizzlers. this is what I did when the craving would hit me especially in the car while driving. Nibble on a twizzler for roughly 5-7 minutes which is how long it usually takes for the craving to go away. pretend like it's a smoke. this kept me distracted through the craving. and it worked

Yep....most need to address the chemical and physical aspects

I hate the tobacco industry. I chose not to invest in mutual funds that invested in Tobacco companies..

What sux for me is that every person that has ever meant anything to me has been addicted to cigarettes.. It's been a lifelong battle for me and I guess it always will be.
