PWO Cardio

Hi.


there's a couple of things i was wondering about and need help with. On my non lifting days (Tuesday and Thursday) i plan on adding 45-60 minutes L/M intensity cardio but do i still need to have a PWO shake? if so do should it be the same as i normally have i.e 50g Whey/75g WMS? Secondly i plan on starting kickboxing again very soon which will be on a Thursday night for a couple of hours. Would i need a PWO shake after that too? Bare in mind im carb cyclng atm aswell.

I usually sip BCAAs during cardio then have my next planned meal when done. If I was doing HIIT, then I would probably have some sort of pwo specific shake or meal.

Not too sure about kickboxing. I would probably just try and eat a good meal in afterwards.
 
you need to reverse castabolism as soon as you stop any strenous activity to get the best results.
 
Hmmm...i forgot about BCAA's. i have them in my drinks at the gym anyway so thats good. ill take your advice and just make sure i get a good meal in me afterwards then. ill probably use BCAA's at kickboxing aswell come to think of it, seeing as its quite high intensty cardio! Thanks SL.


edit: Joe, so i should have a PWO after cardio? 25g Whey w/ Glutamine Peptides then a meal 45 minutes later?
 
no not unless thats your only way to go. you just need the correct nutrients (whatever that may be for you) to get back to your anabolic state. but all strenous activity should be looked at the same as lifting. if you are worn out then your worn out. all joking aside i do a small post w/o meal after sex. but i am not verry athletic and sex is the only form of cardio i have done in the last few years. i have been straight bulking with long rest periods between sets in the gym. so that 5-10 minutes of humping like a jack rabbit has me fealing like im about to have a heart attack sometimes lol.

i guess ill make a normal Whey/WMS shake then. im cuttng at the moment so i was hoping to get away with less carbs but then agan its stored as Glycogen so it doesn't really matter.

At least you're gettng some bud :( LOL
