Pushups?

I used to do them before and after chest as well as first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Did the morning and night thing every day. I think it helped alot then, during my first 2 years of lifting. Now with 12+ years under the belt, I'd rather just rest my rotators between workouts.
 
I end every chest workout with 3 sets of push ups till burnout.
 
I used to... can't do them now. I tore the tendons in my hand so it is iffy when I'll be able to start again.

I used to do 300 finger tip pushups every day. More recently just regular pushups as part of boxing training.

Pushups do something for you that barbells and dumbbells don't. If you want max chest development... you want a couple knockout sets of pushups each day.

When I was a kid I had a martial arts teacher that used to have us do 100 pushups, 100 situps and 100 bicycling BEFORE we would start each class. If I had a kid I'd raise them to start their day with that.
