Around 50 on a good day @ BW of ~ 200 lbs.

In basic training, during a P.T. test I did 105 in two minutes, even after stopping at 82 because that was the max points I could get for my test and being told by my Drill Sargeant to keep beating my face.

No chit, just like Edith says.. "those were the days!!!!"

thats the reason i can do so many in two minutes

I could do a 100 straight with no rests at one point, but I only weighed about 150lbs. I could also do about 15 strict one arm pushups each side.

But who cares when you can't even bench more than your bodyweight.

Now at 215, if I started on them fresh I could probably do 40-50.

I do 70 before bed. Ive never tried for 80, because 70 was point where i *almost* cheat of arching my back, and doing the humping of the floor. lol.

I can do about 80 nonstop.

Do you guys know if it makes a difference if your head is up or down?

30 ez, 50 w/ a little grunting at the end.

I usually finish up my chest day w/ some cable x-overs supersetted w/ pushups. By set 4 I'm doing knee pushups like a girl. Damn I hate that.

I always keep my head up...
I THINK the reason would be because if you put your head down all the blood is rushing to it, so you might be under higher risk of passing out? Also i find it more harder to do with my head up, however when im doing my last ones, with my head down my neck strains alot, and when you have your head up, you feel the pushing...

I had this DIVO that got dropped from BUD/S, and it was time to do the PRT. He put out that anybody that beat him in any part of the PRT could get a day off. I ended up doing 118 push-ups in 2 minutes. i beat him by 7. the only reason why i went that high was to get a day off. not to mention this was the day after an ME bench day.

cranked out 132 in basic for a 2 minute test. now i can do 100 plus or so in 2 mintues after a swim/sit-ups then push ups. but i love that style of training the most. own body weight training .......

I should have been more clear sorry. My friend lost a poker hand of $250 to another guy we knew. The guy was being a smart ass and said if you can do 1000 push ups ill call it even but if you cant you ow me 500. So he took the challege and did it in a hour.

I can easily do 150pushups, probably 110 pushups in 2 min.. I'm in the military and we have to do those for our P.T. test.. Not really something I work into my workouts but something to brag about I guess.. btw 165lbs 5'8'' pretty easy when ur light.. lol

I knew this huge black seargent in the AF, weighed about 250, would bench 3 plates, do flyes, dips, machine, and then finish off the workout with 300 reps in sets of 25!!!

My max is about 75 non-stop pushups with good form. I once saw a man in an Army tent at a Nascar race do over 120 in two minutes. It was amazing to see him keep popping them off at that pace.

On a side not, I'm new to the site and noticed a few of you have signatures, yet I can't for the life of me find out how to type mine in. Thanks in advance for any help for my sorry ass.

You have to be a Plat member... they want your money.. then you get to do extra fun stuff.

I did 255 this morning. I am training to do 500 consecutive. Also I did 51 pull-ups, and I can now do a strict one-arm pull with each arm. I am 5'10" and about 180 now.
