Push Up Bars

of course they are good . If pushups are part of your weekly routine the pushup bars allow you to go deeper and get a better stretch out of the muscle. I sometimes get 3 chairs , 2 for my hands and 1 for my feet and do pushups that way. It allows you to go even deeper then the pushup bars.

Sounds like a great way to tear a pec.
 
Two dumbells work as well as push up bars.

In general, it isn't the equipment, but the effort that makes a difference.
 
So long as you can feel the mind inside the muscle, the weight doesn't matter. This applies especially to the glutes.

The push-up bars will allow you to get a greater range of motion on your pushups. This might be of help in a wrestling situation.

As someone already mentioned, be careful of loading your pecs at an extreme stretch if your bodyweight is high.
