I wish some of those guys would write a biography and be honest about the gear use. I love the look and shape of those guys back in the day...and why doesn't anyone ever mention Ed Corney - that guy looked amazing! This is what makes me contimplate using Test, sure it's great, but I think it is causing the change in the physiques of today's bodybuilders. Of course GH, Fina have there place in the cause, but test is the core.

All it would take to change it around is for one of the Top 5 guys to come out and blatantly say he was going to shoot for the 70's look, then do it. If enough people followed suit, it could turn the sport around. As long as "bigger is better" continues to dominate the judging, it is going to get freakier and freakier until we see people dying from trying to compete.
After seeing "the comeback" ,I don't think that 70s bodybuilders were that good.
Could someone like zane be really compared with , hum for example, darrem charles or francis benfatto?
Is arnold really better looking than some guy like charles clairmonte at his top?
But still olympia competitors are too big and stocky and the "gh guts" really destroys their physique. I don't like today top bodybuilders. Bodybuilding has gone wrong since the early 90s.

I dont think the bb's of the 70's looked that great. they had small legs and big upper bodys. I think flex, dexter, shawn, and lee labrade had the best physique. Ronnie should have only one the Mr. O once in 98. That year didn't have the gut and was in great shape. He was ripped and dry as a bone. Its getting really bad now when someone with a gut and gyno can win the biggest title in bodybuilding.
My brother lives in Flowermound , TX arich suburb of Dallas. When I was 12 I used to go stay the summer there with his family(he is a half brother alot older than me) so I also have 4 neices my age who are his daughters. One neice of mine had a friend in school named Lisa lisa had a nice pool a her house, so we could go swim there when we wanted. (we used to like to swim alot, dallas in the summer is hot as a bitch) My neices told me her dad was famous , they said his name was Franco Columbo. He had suposedly competed against Arnold. Well I knew of Arnold but didnt know Franco(I was young). Anyway went over there to swim and Him and all his family were cool as shit to us. HE WAS THE MOST MUSCULAR PERSON I HAD SEEN UNTIL THEN. and this was after his competing days, They had a garage converted into a nice gym, he had pictures of him and Arnold and one picture was a picture of Arnold signed by Arnold that said"Eat your heart out Franco" in what I know now to be typical Arnold (cocky). Anyway Francos son was about in high school at the time and was almost bigger than him. Lisa invited us over alot because she had a crush on me, but she was kind of thick and at that time I liked the skinny girls, (stupid me). When we would go over there there would always be a BBQ in the backyard and Franco would always be cooking. He would always be in posing trunks and I was in shock at his muscularity. Well , years later when I first hit a real GYM . I seen his pic on the wall along with all the other olmpia winners. Then later I seen the movie "Pumping Iron" , it was cool because I was like "I met him" Him and all his family were very nice. I will never forget that summer. Some of you will say it is bullshit, but I have no reason to lie. HE was probably the most famous bodybuilder I have ever met. I did meet Craig Titus since I live in Houston years ago. But that is about all
