Slow, controlled negatives Chins, will increase your strength and number of reps you can do. Knock out as many as you can do on your own. Take a 1-2 minute break then finish with 1-3 negative Chins.
Unless you can only do 5 pullups at bodyweight, you gotta go weighted. I only do an extra 40 for 5 reps now, but I'm getting up there. Also, bodyweight is increasing, so technically I'm pulling more.
Lukeb5301 ... you can hold a dumbell between your feet, you would be suprised how much you can hold and keep stable too..not much of a problem. If you have bands..which you probably don't but.... you can just loop it through a plate or 5 , and put it around your neck. Or if you have any small children around just have them hang on your back
Lukeb5301 - you can borrow my 2 kids. i'll start you off with the small one, maybe 35lbs. once your done with him, i want him back. then you can take the larger one, she's maybe 50lbs. i want her back when she's 18. have fun!
