Protein Supplements in place of food?

Ok some days like yesterday for example I'll be running around and will not have much time to eat. But can Protein supplements make up for the missed meals. Yesterday I really didnt get to eat that much but I did consume about 4 servings of Nitro Tech and like 2 protein bars when I was out. I mean I know its dosn't make up for real food but whne theres no choice in the matter will the supplements be sufficient?

well like you said if there is no choice in the matter then YES by all means use supplements...But if you can try to at least get 3-4 real food meals a day...

I've done that a couple times due to time constraints and a busy schedule. With plenty of water, it worked quite nicely - BUT - food is always better than meal replacements/protein supplements.

I consider protein powder "real food." Honestly, can your body tell the difference between an amino from a glass of milk and a milk protein isolate powder? A milk isolate powder still retains all the vitamins and minerals so it's just milk without all the carbs and lactose. That being said, I don't like MRP's because of their maltodextrin content, I just take my milk isolate and use fruit or whole grain bread as my carb source for my mrp, best of both worlds!

Its hard to get your calories in if you are mixing drinks all day. The other day I left the gym and had to make a quick little stop. I got home four hours later........So do you guys carry a drink mixer with you?
