Protein Shakes

Iam about to buy a few buckets of protein shakes. I have been drinking zero carb isopure 7.5lbs pails for years and I was thinking of making a switch to Protein Factory Mega Whey 10lbs Pail. The seem to be more economical but they do have less vitamins. But since I take upto 4 multivitamins daily I should be covered in that department.

Who has tried Protein Factory's Mega Whey and how does it taste? Has anyone compared it to isopure?

Iam getting ready for my november cycle so Iam getting all my protein shakes, vitamins, and liver detox in order.

Cycle:
AIFM throughout
1-6 30/day Dianabol - methandrostenolone -
1-14 640test/430Deca
11-16 Winny 50/day
15-16 500test
PCT - post cycle therapy - -HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - , clomid and AIFM
 
About 50 bucks for the 10lbs protein factory stuff. I can find the isopure 7.5lbs for about 60.

So I pay less and get 2.5lbs more. But I just want to know how it tastes.
 
People think that Protein Factory is pricy when they actually have excellant stuff at pretty much wholesale. It's the high end products that are more expensive but even then, it's a good deal considering what you're getting.

Try to find the ingredients an dosages in BIG BLAST, POST CYCLE, UNLEASHED or DX7 elsewhere else for less. Won't happen.

yo nelson, whats the content for mega whey, like how much g of protein carbs and fat an does it have vitmains in there
 
I always use the GNC whey protein. Lately it's been on sale for only $40. (6lbs). That stuff is great. It mixes up very easily with just a spoon instead of having giant lumps of shit in your shake.
 
Blech...GNC is the WORST TASTING around.... Champion Ultramet tastes better...but I've just ordered a bucket of PROTEIN factory stuff...

ACTUALLY, BODYBUILDING.COM sells Protein factory CHEAPER than Protein factory.... and it's highly rated stuff...but NO ONE beat BB.com for customer service and quick, cheap delivery. Check it out!

I was very surprised that P.F. wholesales to BB.com...but hey...i'm always trying to save a buck! And it's a good discount!!!

I am paying $23 for 6lbs of EAS Whey at Sam's club. It is definitely cheaper than anything else out there (approximately $40 for 10lbs). I can't remember who sent me there but I think it was a post on this board.

The problem I had with Protein Factory was indigestion and really bad farts. Some proteins are better than others. My preference is ON's Gold Standard but laterly the prices have jumped up quite a bit (like $65-80 per 10lb bag) so I hopped on the second bet which is EAS.

I use WHEY ISOLATE during the day.

Really? Bad farts are from lower quality proteins, I thought? I know that the ON Gold Standard we use makes it so I can't sleep next to my wife...she's bombin' the fuckin' room all night.....one day...I'm gonna PLUG that hole up!!!

Everyone has notched in but has anyone acually tried the protein factories shakes? How do the compare to isopure.

Iam already sold on DX7, and iam goig to try unleashed and post cycle with my pct along with the standard operating procedure of HCG and clomid.

I think its crazy when a multi costs that much.

I'm with you, I love cytogainer, it's not to expensive, they have good flavors, it dissolves every time, and it's got a shit load of protein. And musclemilk is probably the best thing out there. You really get your moneys worth, I just switched to cyto for the added protein, but it's all made buy the same place.

It's more than just vitamins bro.

Plus, they're mega dosed so if you can use half a dose and they'll last 2 months and still be more potent than most others, including Animal Pak, which is less complete and cost more.
 
The bags Costco have been selling, the EAS stuff, has been good. Three different types of protein, not just the primary (whey). A good amino acid profile. Add some liquid egg whites for an even more complete supp. I don't usually gain much on protein shakes because they seem to be so much more poorly metabolized than food.

But this stuff has been good to me. Still try to get almost all my protein from food, but that is next to impossible to do and get enough to support growth.

If you have to use a supp, and need a good solid one with a broad profile, get that bag if they still have them. I'd have to spend waaaay more to get something of equal quality from a typical source.
 
Like I wrote...go to BODYBUILDING.com....you can get Protein Factory products there cheaper! (sorry Nelson....but I gotta save a buck).... and I too have found that the "mega-dosed" vitamins were BETTER all around...and lasted a lot longer than the cheap multi's. Got all of my PF supps coming from BB.com...better price, best shipping ... IMO.

Hey OV, I just last night went to GNC for my monthly ON Gold Standard, (my fav as well) and found the price jumped from 54.95 (5.x lbs) to $61.99, and I almost shit right there. Even with my gold card discount is was $49.xx. I'm outta there and looking for a different supplier and maybe even brand.
Is the EAS you're mentioning have whey isolate or whey concentrate as the major make up? Also how many servings per 6 lbs. -Thanks

No problem. I honestly don't know how or why BB.com sells them for less, but that's not my department. Absolutely go where it's the cheapest!

Yeah, DX7 is in another leauge than your standard multi.

They are mega dosed so you can use half the dosage?

Is it normal operating procedure with Protein Factory to fool its customers to use higher dosage then necessary?

I find it funny how products are being pushed on this board.
Before it was a different group and we could not grow without using their products. Every recommendation would put money in their pocket and all their competitors was crap.

Same story but different product pimps.

These are the kind of posts that are not only pointless, but will get you banned -- not for questioning a sponser, but for just starting shit and being insulting for no reason.

What kind of stupid comment is that? Yes, DX7 is a very high potency. Check the stats. What's you're problem with that?

Exactly.. Common sense man. So you can cut a mega dose in half, thirds, whatever, or take a brand that is less than mega dose and double it, or 1-1/2 servings, etc.... Do some math, nutrition/chemical make up of the doses, and buy and use accordingly.

Morgan, you gotta think before you over react bro.. Keep the aggression in the gym, or pm privately with your issues.

So you have no problem with listing a recommended dosage between more then twice whats needed?

Why would they do so?

You think thats ethical and kosher business?

How about them recommending 200 grams of protein per serving, would that b e ok too?

My question is legit.

Not sure why you have a problem with me questioning a product sponsor when you state that they recommend twice the dosage thats needed.

My post is not to start shit but we should all question the sponsors and its products. The supplement industry is full of garbage products and I am not saying that Protein factory sells bad products. I am a repeat customer and like many of their products. However, I do question a product thats so overdosed that less then half the dosage would be sufficient.

If we question a recommendation from a supplement supplier we should keep it private?

I thought this is a discussion board where we share question, answers and opinions.

Maybe you should read my first post again, then you can see what I question.

My intention was not to insult Nelson, I like the guy but I was pointing out how the different supplement companies pushes products. We as members of this board should question them to make sure they are "telling the truth". I bet you have spent tons of money on junk and like me you dont want to blow more money on the same junk.

I am about to try a few of his products so dont take my questions as "hate".
First on my list is Definition, thinking of Big Blast too.

Okay bro, then don't jump out of the gate saying things like "is that ethical?" It sounds provoking.

Here's the deal. DX7 is very high potency because bodybuilders need more than the average Joe. It also has things like beta glucan and lycopene and TMG and lots of stuff an ordinary multi doesn't. Now there are guys taking B12 shots when it's not at all necessary if you're taking in 1000% of the RDA in a supplement. DX7 was specifically designed so that even at mega dosages nothing would be toxic, which is why I kept the vits A,D down (still high, just not superphysiological) and it has no iron. Now there are times when guys want all the nutritional insurence they can get and to be honest, when people read labels, they want to see big numbers. DX7 has them. I'm just saying, that unless you feel the need for mega dosages you can use half as much and it'll still be very potent. You'll be covered. I think that's pretty cool and a good way to get all the good stuff without paying extra.

Why not just eat the damn food...your body is only going to use so much of the vitamins and minerals in these multivitamins. There are no majic multivitamins. Once, you make fresh fruits, vegtables, seafood, legumes, grains etc...a part of your life then you'll get the real juice that they're trying to pack into all these multivitamins. Supplements are just that....supplemental....eat the fuckin' food if you want to feel the juice...or get a damn juicer.

No way you can get all those nutrients in those dosages from food or juice.

A double dose of Definition twice a day will work pretty quickly -- you'll start peeing in a couple of hours. After 48 hours you should be less bloated -- unless you eat too many carbs, which will hold water.

Drink lots of water. NOT JUICE or fruit drinks -- which is bloating in itself.
 
so.... back to protein--- i have always used Designer Whey... and i have always had tip top results....

I have used several of their proteins with different flavors.
I order it with Splenda for sweetener.
So far I liked about everything.
Not that crazy about the Raspberry Lemonade but its not bad.

I really like their chocolate and love the banana.

My first order was small bags with different flavors.
Like a 2 lbs bag flavored with chocolate.
2 lbs bag flavored with strawberry,
etc.
After I figured out what I liked I order that in larger bags..

Everything I got from them has been good.
