Protein Shakes and Ketosis

I had the same problem

I had the same problem...

what I found was that most Protein shakes have some carbs and that stops keto...

but what really got me is...aspertame will keep you out of ketosis. you can find aspertame in most all shakes and diet soft drinks.

Meal Breakdown Looks like this..at least for this week.

Meal 1. Post Workout: 50g Protein, 28g Fat from Flax seed oil
Meal 2. 25g Protein
Meal 3. 25g Protein
Meal 4. 25g Protein (Isopure Shakes for all Unlabeled Protein sources)
Meal 5. 50g Protein
Meal 6. Post Workout: 50g Protein, 14g Fat
Meal 7. 4oz Chicken Breast, with 14g Fat.

This wasnt what It was supposed to look like, but pretty much a consequence of time management (or my lack there of :-) ). I'm pretty sure whats keeping my out of ketosis is too much glutamine+Aspartame, so Im going to try and cut back on the glutamine and see what happens.

EAT SOME FOOD! You got one actual meal a day. Also, postworkout would be the time to not add 28g flax. A little is okay, but eating maybe 70%Pro to 30% fat PW is better, then 1 - 2 hrs. later eat a solid pro/fat meal. If possible, replace all the shakes w/solid food. You should really only hit up whey PWorkout, but you've got 225g of whey protein isolate a day. Just get some food and you'll get better results. Good Luck.
