haven't disagreed with the bro at all yet.....sorry ;)

Since you only clipped part of my verbage, does this mean that you are agreeing with me that you are fat and gonna hide behind a tank this summer? Just kidding bra...........What are your stats anyways?

No-one said it can't get you shredded ..if you exercise and are in a calorie deficit you will lose fat,end of story. That said empty stomach AM cardio WILL BURN MUSCLE and plenty of it. You can ignore that fact ..no problem bro but just because you use it doesn't make the numerous scientific studies that prove it to not be the optimal cardio invalid.

Have fun burning more muscle than you need to brother ;)

Hmm. So you buy the myth that you can cut without loosing *some* muscle?

While doing this to an insane degree will be catabolic, doing it on empty to cut at a reasonable level won't.

You keep refereing to studies but you haven't linked to any. I will give you mine - Bob Glover's The Competitive Runners Handbook. It's on Amazon and this comes straight out of the text. The book has a nearly perfect rating among the customer reviews. IIRC the only folks that didn't give it a maximum score were those who found it to be too technical.

Again - I ask - where is your 'study?'

I'm out of this one, but be prepared to get flamed hard.......comparing a "runners" theory to a bodybuilding or powerlifting lifestyle is like oil and water theory........they don't mix.........

On a side note, Dorian - for someone who is eating excessively, and at all hours of the day, night........wouldn't you agree that doing moderate cardio (i.e. incline treadmill work), 1st thing in the am, would help to keep the fat and bloat at minimal levels? May take longer to put on mass, but it would be mostly clean, no?

I prefer to do HIIT 2 to 3 times a week (sprint intervals for 15 minutes) and moderate walking once a week or so for about an hour. No scientific reason other than I like doing it. I usually do the walking the day after deads as I find it helps my lower back recover. The sprints I do because I find them fun. Always in the afternoon, never in the morning.

jkurz i would always go for HIIT even while bulking ,to maintain cardio health and help limit fat gain. You ever try it bro?

Synpax- no,i never said you can cut and lose no muscle (in theory maybe one can) but my point is and always was: you can minimise muscle loss,ie chose the route that burns the most fat and least muscle.

with respect bro i don't give a fuck what runners think about am cardio on an empty stomach,i truly don't. does a marathoner care about keeping his guns at 17'5 inches as he cuts up?no,he has 12.5 guns to start with.

i posted a link to a giant thread on this topic at bbing com, there are loads of studies on it...i won't dig them up because i am beyond caring who agrees or disagrees with me..not a flame dude,i'm just tired with debating over the net

agreed...and sure I;'ve done every bit of cardio imaginable.........I would rather refrain from HIT until the weather breaks and I can hit the outdoor track and/or stadium bleachers...now, thats a fing workout........for now, I like the treadmill, bike, elliptical....the sole reason I do it, is because I sit in an office all day and need to break a sweat before work...for a mental thang, if nothing else..........
