Propecia(finasteride) really works

My hair has been thinning the past few years but after last cycle over the summer I thought all of it was going to fall out. I was finding hair everywhere, the sink, the shower, everywhere. At that rate, I would have been bald in 6 months. Bald is cool if you can pull it off, but I think I would look like an idiot.

I went to the doc and he said Propecia might help. I asked him about Proscar which are 5mg tabs, propecia is only 1mg and he said that for the higher cost of proscar it wasn't worth it. I think he said that the Proscar was only like 15% more effective. Insurance doesn't cover it so I went with the Propecia which was cheaper. I got a 4 month supply for $130, not too bad.

After a month of using it my hair definately looks much thicker and it stopped falling out. I hardly find any hairs in the sink or shower now. Time to get another haircut soon.

I'm sorry LoD but I don't understand why your doc told you that cos although it is true that Proscar is slightly dearer, the fact that they are 5mg tablets means they can be broken into 4 or even 5 pieces so they can be taken at 1mg ED or EOD which is the route that most bro's including myself seem to take if they have the choice of either med seein' as one box of 28 tabs will last you 20 weeks even at an ED frequency! Unlike Proscar, Propecia is marketed as a hairloss treatment and therefore has the customary mark up associated with those products! The simple fact is Proscar contains 5mg of Finasteride while Propecia contains only 1mg of the same drug yet as you say it was only 15% cheaper???
