projector for my room?

im thinking about buying a toshiba projector to watch tv and play games and shit. anyone here do this? how did it turn out for you?
 
I have a buddy that has one in his appartment and it rocks. It's like being in a fighter jet or car. My only advice is to pick one up with a high contrast ratio. Usually the higher the ratio the higher the cost.

Compaq projectors are amazing, but not cheap.
 
Buy one and return it, that's how I tested them out. Get one with the best options. 1G is a price at the local store for a nice one.

I bought 2 at the same time at Circuit City, the manager was gonna give me free warranty just to keep the two things. I thought about it but then said fuck it, I said no and I dont want them. I dont feel bad, cuz most salesmen are dicks.

Oh yeah, one more thing. The reason I bought it at Circuit City is cause they dont have a "restocking fee" like Best Buy does. :rolleyes: 15%my ass.

Dont have to give them a reason, I'm in Minnesota. They just ask if there is anything wrong with it. Or if they do ask why I'm returning it I just tell them I didnt like it.
Once I returned 4 buckets of paint to Home Depot (20bucks a gallon), they asked me why I'm returning, I said "I got the wrong color" then the lady says "you mean this yellow", "yeah, wrong yellow". Then I went back the next morning and bought all four for 20bucks, total savings of 60dollars for paint! I'm so cheap!
 
damn, i used to do shit like that.... i got ya beat tho.... cheack this out,
back in the day, i used to jack ink cartridges from comp usa(they were like 60 bux a pop) and then go return em at a diffrent comp usa and score like $300. i made them give me cash... damn, i dont know where i had the balls to do that back then.... the things ppl do when their broke, lol.

ummm, wouldn't they want to see a reciept for the purchase...

I doubt they would give you 300 cash without a receipt

How did you return the stuff without a receipt? I know they would give you store credit, but I dont know of anyone that would give cash without a receipt.

its all about having a good mouth on you.
when you explain to them how much you and your "company" spends on supplies from them on a monthley basis, they will pretty much bend over backwards.
