Primo Pain in the ass

Good to be back on here (EF) after a couple of days off.

I am 6 weeks into cyp 250mg ew / primo 200mg twice a week and still have a nice abscess at one primo injection spot (right glute). I have been treated by doc with antibiotics and am on the road to recovery but am hesitant to continue the primo portion of my cycle. I have taken all the usual precautions such as (new sterol needle for each inject, alcohol swab injection area and vial top, injection site rotation, ect...)

What experience do any of you have with primo injection site pain or abscess formation?

it might not be the needle or the top of the vial your primo just might be dirty

Thanks for the response. I have considered this but wanted to know if anyone had pain associated with primo injections with or without injection site rotation so that I better make this assessment.

Enjoy. For some reason I keep going through it too. I had a mean pain in my left glute but still injected into it anyway. The pain is still there but not as bad.

i have heard of people having pain from schering primos

Yea... maybe I overused the injection site. I am switching to schering so I guess I should brace myself.

I am running BD primo right now (started w/another UG brand) Haven't had a problem & injecting EOD 1.5-2 CC's.

Make sure your rotating & good luck

Was your abcess infected or was it just encapsulated primo that never absorbed? I've never had a full blown abcess, but my one and only primo cycle was schering and it left some painful knots.....very slow to absorb.

It was infected The ID doc thinks that this infection could come from post production packaging in animal grade pharmaceuticals or from of course non sterol injection conditions. I had pain on nearly all primo injects so I did not think anything of it at first but it was growing daily and the pain worsening so I had it checked. It turns out I had two legions but only one had advanced to the point of severe pain. Vancomyacin cleared it up quickly. I do not know if she is right or not but she feels that some slow absorbing substances will not work well with certain individuals. I may be one. I am switching brands and will post results.
