Post workout RELAX???

OK so this is probably an oddball question.. my b,

but is there any supp i can take that will essentially lower my "drive" after a workout.. i'm on cycle and take jack3d as pre-workout... but i feel like the shit last hours upon hours and i can't help but double up on my anxiety meds just to come down..... any advice guys???

i've tried tha whole melatonin, valerian root.. blahblah and that herbal stuff js isn't cuttin the cake...

i already see a psychiatrist every 3 weeks... believe me i can't sleep for shit ( i'm taking anxiety meds as well as sedative/hypnotics just to sleep)

i'm talkin more along the lines of calming down from being sooo "pumped": i gues is the term..

I've heard alot about "somatomax" from hi-tech pharmaceuticals but not sure if thats what i'm lookin for.
 
when you figure it out let me know i get insomnia bad for 2 days lil sleep n then sleep away for 2 days....
 
Yeah lower the dose and stop taking anxiety pills; that's garbage. Learn how to use your brain over your body.
 
pot gives me the muchies, if I was bulking that would be cool I guess :) but seriously I have issues sometimes too, lately when I use jack3d I get amped all day, as mentioned before I lowered my dose, no more than 2 scoops max. I work out early mornings, so I have plenty of time for the stuff to wear off though. In the evening, forget it..I'm not going to sleep :)
 
smoke doob, listen to some tunes, and chill on the couch. if that doesnt put you to sleep you are screwed. avoid the munchies by having a chocolate protein shake after puffing. :p
 
Alright man this advice might sound weird and old school but I like to Make Hot Cocoa(on the stove) with a little protein powder mixed in to put me to sleep. I've used melatonin, herbal sleep aids whatever and they don't work that well. Melatonin works a little tho. Needtobuildmuscle.com: Supplements, articles, .... sells Need2sleep pills that has I think 3 ingredients in it to put you out. I have not used it yet but I will be very soon. Give it a try. I have the worst insomnia and really the only thing that does put me to sleep is some chronic and cocoa.

Thats good. It's not weird actually, it sounds like a good idea.
I actually was going to reccomend drinking hot cocoa with real very warm milk. Milk seems to have the calming effect, especially when taken warm. So, I would really try the hot cocoa with real milk. Give it a try. I would take it 1 hour before you actually put your head down to sleep. Hope this helps.
 
not wierd at all! warm milk has always helped me sleep too. besides, whats better than hot cocoa and chronic? :p
 
Warm breast milk puts my 6 month old right out. I'm thinking there is something to this warm milk theory

Ya its a nice remedy my mother gave to me. I guess if you microwave milk and make cocoa you basically take out all the nutrition and the effect isnt as good. Stick to warm milk made on the oven.

Try lowering your jacked dosage mate.
 
I think he meant stop taking EXTRA anxiety meds because of Jack3d. Lower the dose but never take more than you should, those meds are bad anyway.

I was kinda thinking anyone who has to take anxiety pills probably shouldn't be using Jack3d or any other stimulants in their training regiment.

Also a good point. Medical Marijuana is also great for anxiety if you live in the proper area then ask your doctor about that maybe. Putting pills in your body every day can not be good for your liver or your body in general. I myself prefer to stick to natural stimulants like medical marijuana or Tulsi Tea. Both very relaxing soothing and good for your soul.:heart:

yeah working out is for pussies....

right, if you knew half of my history you probably would advice to take the anxiety meds.... afterall... why do we take jack3d and other "pre-workout" supps... y don't we just use our brains over our body and get a "pump"...

seriously why do people offer turndowns and negative feedback instead of answering the thread topics.... i simply asked if there was a supp that i could take to relax after a workout as the topic is titled "post workout relax".... not for another medical evaluation on brainwaves....
 
Pot used to GIVE me anxiety, thats why i quit. I wouldnt be able to talk or carry on a conversation and that was a no-no around girls! lol i think some people are just born to be pot-heads, but i think im not. jus makes me unapprochable and antisocial but i still loved being high and getting the munchies haha!

I tried pot once 12 years ago when I was 20, I was taking deca and sust and I tired it specifically to get the munchies, it didn't do shit. Never tried it again.
 
Hey try GABA it's worked really well for me. I typically only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night and I'm around six now

agreed. ive never had someone who said "it didnt do anything for me" puff with me and not feel it. but i say stick with the warm milk and if ya can, smoke. :p
 
LOL. You know a lot of people get that didn't do anything for me thing the first time. You know I always say if at first you don't succeed...try try again! Seriously though it is a great option for putting your ass down when you can't sleep. Best thing I've ever tried and I'm a chronic (no pun intended) insomniac.

lower or kick the jack3d.
i would stay away from increasing your meds though
as for sleep, get some need2sleep
i use it everyonce in a while and two pill take me out in 15 min or so

i've heard a bit about this need2sleep... who sells it?

as for lowering/kicking the jack... i've thought about it.. and i dont even take it every day.. mayb every other if that but it works like no other for the pump... it's jus difficult for me to get past the mental barrier that a pre-workout supp is a necessity when training...
 
I spoke with my nutritionist and he mentioned something along the lines of a ZMA.... apparently it's supposed to relax ur muscles or something.. i don't think the need2sleep is what i'm looking for as i have prescription medication that is supposed to "knock me out" on a good night.. haha

any info on this so called ZMA?
