Post surgery suggestions on losing weight

I'm 2 weeks post surgery on my foot and won't be on full weight bearing for another 6 weeks. I'm 34 and have had 17 total surgeries btwn both legs from being born w a club foot and then a bad car accident leaving me with partial quad muscle loss and nerve damage. I've had 9 surgeries just on my left knee. My metabolism has ceased to exist and I'm constantly yo yoing in weight. I've tried hiring trainers but besides being expensive I have yet to find one who can work around my problems. Now I'm laid up again and have already gained 10 pounds it seems. Any suggestions on diet and what I can do physically to lose weight? I'm willing to do anything at this point. Help please?!

that sucks, im sorry to hear about your difficulties. is swimming an option? i would consult your doctor about it. otherwise you can do some upper body work. and as far as the diet goes, there is a whole section of this forum dedicated to it. if you post what your current diet consists of, there are plenty of knowledgeable people who can advise you.

im in a similar situation, i have an injured foot as well. best of luck, i know it sucks but the body can do amazing things given time. if you're resolved to make a change, all it takes is the opportunity to implement it.
