Hey guys,

I would just like to make an announcement.

As of the last hour, I have decided to take away PolfaJelfa’s access as Moderator and to the forums as well. I like PolfaJelfa, but it seems he has run out of strikes.

He has had plenty of chances before this, he just seems to cause a lot of issues for the site.

I spoke to him once about his conduct after he lashed out in insults at members for disagreeing with him. The reason for the disagreement was basically PolfaJelfa making the statement “Creationism has been proven scientifically” and the members disagreeing with him. The insults were pretty much telling people he wish they would die and that sort of thing.

The second occasion where my intervention was needed in issues regarding PolfaJelfa. All took place in a thread about abortion. Being touchy issues for many people, I can understand PJ being a bit overzealous in defending his point of view. However, I think that telling people he “wishes they would die” or saying things like “all liberals should die” are things Moderators should not be doing. Another Moderator who participated in the thread, sent PJ a PM telling him that he should step down as a Mod, if he wants to talk like that to the members, he should NOT be doing it while representing EF as a Moderator…. Mattheskywalker’s PM to Polfajelfa was answered with “go fuck yourself” among other insults.


The third strike, the Camel that finally broke the Straw… I can’t and won’t ever talk about with anybody outside of the office...

Before all of the conspiracy theories start pouring in. I need you guys to keep in mind that while YOU can make accusations and allegations against other members. WE CAN’T. You may be anonymous, I am NOT. For me to admit to knowing anything about illegal activities, or make any direct accusation, can put me and my company at risk. This is why I will not disclose any information about anything.

I do my best to hear no evil. If I’m ever asked about what I know, I want to be able to say with a clear conscious that “I know nothing”. Some times things get out of hand and I just can’t avoid hearing about it… This is one of those times.

I hope you can understand my position and the reason why I cannot talk about this at any length. I hope my word will be enough for you.

See bro, you have to have a light touch. If you do things right, people wont even know you did anything at all. That's why BRR makes a great site admin, he's got the light touch - something most of us lack. This concept is the same for company managers.

He was always good to me. I dont know shit either bout what BBR said so i will also keep my mouth shut. I am glad tho that there are rules being enforced on this board.
 
I remember all the Drama when he was named mod.. Everyone was like "Who the F@#k is this guy?"

It is good to see upper management handle problems correctly.. If he was given 3 strikes, he was given more than enough chances.
 
I agree with many of polfa's view's but i agree that as a mod you have to keep that to yourself,congrat's on handling this in a professional way BRR.
 
BRR, you're a fair person and trustworthy. Whatever your reasons, I'm sure they are justified.

Well he can do whatever he wants when he actually owns it. But until then it would be nice if he'd quit pretending to own it.
 
Polfa was not very professional. He definitely didn't belong as a mod. Some of his posts sounded like a noobie and I've seen other threads he posted on that were somewhat lewd. He joked around with me calling me an Irish alcoholic, which was pretty funny, but he did not act appropriately for a mod. So I'm not surprised.

First two strikes seem a bit political for them to be valid.

So the guy doesn't know how to argue - he should be banned? I could type "Go fuck yourself" to every PM I got but would I be banned? Probably wouldnt even be noticed. Take away the title sure but not the whole account.

PJ did a lot more. BRR is being nice and professional about this.

This is not just about a "random" member, this about moderator who is supposed to respresent elitefitness in front of 100,000+ members.

Here's an example for you; after this was posted, he came in with an alter and spammed this thread and the steroid forum with dozens of posts, screaming and yelling. This person is not moderator material IMO.

I never really talked to the orb, but in the past he was helpfull a couple times and nice about it, BUT, if he wasn't acting mod-like, it was a good idea to de-mod him.

It's unfortunate that he chose to take the route he did afterwards but that just re-affirmed the decision to de-mod him. I say good call.

And I had problems with EF members covering Satch, Satch himself couldnt do what he did. A goal like that couldnt be achieved without someone`s help.
In fact Satch was allowed to openly source post over EF. Why? Maybe because we have great mods here? :verygood:

I never had a personal issue with Polfa, he seemed like a good bro even though I disagreed with most of what he said. But he NEVER should have been a mod. He couldn't keep his personal beliefs personal, and he was prone to abuse power. Those are two of the worst qualities in a leader. Very common though.

Those whom I really liked has gone through years I spent on this board. In fact there is only one mod here who doesnt deserve any respect and he is on a powertrip.
