Please post a response! Is anyone afraid of the long term damage from juice? Or death

How bad are steroids for us all? We all want to look so good, but you know that we are taking exercise, which is good for you, and using drugs that can be harmful to your health. It just doesn't make much since. But I guess if you have used the drug you know that the quality of life while your on is just so great! As long as you use a low dosage and keep the side effects low. I guess we are all going to die someday, so why not look your best and enjoy everyday? You see all these overwight unhappy people who use anti-depressants as a way to feel better. how would these guys feel if there doc put them on a lite cycle for 10 weeks, exercised reugularly and ate right. Now you yhave given them something that an anti- depressant would never do. That is Confidence! I guess what I am wondring is whether or not these drugs will shorten your life span? I juice once a year for 10 weeks. I use about 500mg/ week. Does anyone know if this will shorten my life span someday. That is if I don't walk along the side walk and get crushed by a car! You just never know. Does anyone know what happens to use all when we get old if we juice a little? Thank you all for your insight! Jay:fro:

1) everyone is different and reacts differently to the same drug
2) steroids have not been linked directly to any deaths
3) steroids are hard on the liver and raise blood pressure and volume
4) statistically speaking, there is a good chance you will have health problems anyway in old age

What is all comes down to is this: You won't know until you know. All you can do is decide now if you wnat to take the risk or not.

Well stated Nandroloner. If you want the answer to "what will steroids do to me when I'm older" check out the Master's Olympia competitors...they aren't the best looking dudes on stage, BUT compare them to the rest of their peers in the same age group who are not users and you'll see what I'm talking about. Will it kill you early? Who knows. Some have linked Arnold's heart problems last year and Ed Corney's health problems to gear, but look at their age. Is someone out there going to tell me that the average 50-60 year old isn't at risk for certain ailments just because they didn't juice? HELL NO!!! As age increases, so does the risk for disease...fact of life that we'll all have to deal with sometime down the road. Later =)

I believe in quality of life, not length. If my life ends up being a little shorter because of AS use then so be it. At least I was happy while I lived.

I believe lower dose steroid may increase the life span, it for sure increases the quality of life as one gets older.

I belive if used in moderation and not abused then they can be relatively safe but with anything, if they are abused you can run into trouble in the long run. Be safe about it and take the proper precautions, I am not saying there will be zero sides but they will be controlled.

I am no expert and don't pretend to be. I agree that if you are smart
and moderate, gear is safe, but if using AS takes 5 years of being old and weak
off the end of my life, Who cares if I feel and look great while I am alive!

I'm also with whatever on this one. I thought they said arnolds heart problems where genetic, and that his father had the same thing.....

IMO - if its not abused, there is little to suggest that steroid use is harmfull at all (at least for test, t3, gh, etc). most harmfull effects are either geneticly in place aready and not related to the sauce or exacerbated by excessive or unwise levels of use of juice.
