Please help, serious situation. Need any legal advice you may have regarding bloodtst

Okay, long story short. A girl I had sex with ONCE, 5 years ago, unprotected, but didn't cum in her, wants me to have a blood test to see if I'm the father of her kid. She was married to some guy and he signed the birth certificate, and now they're getting divorced. Supposedly she told the guy that her on again/off again ex was the real father, as she had regular sex with them both around the same time. Well now they both come up negative and she wants me to get a blood test. Can the courts make me do so? and if so, am I then bound to the child financially or otherwise or what? If so, would I have to share custody with the guy who signed the birth certificate? If anyone knows anything about a matter like this, please tell me. I'm thinkin I should get a lawyer now.

feel for ya bro, but i cant help you on this one. my real father is not the name that is signed on my B/C.. just found that out like 2 years ago, kinda fucked me up for a bit,.. good luck

Don't have any legal advice to give you, but hopefully you 3 can work it out to where the kid doesn't get the shaft.

Make her get an attorney, go to court, and get a court order to have you get a blood test....that will $ about $500 or so....

Agreed that you should have a court order. A family friend went through that and it fucked up his marriage-- he hadn't seen the woman who was saying he was the dad for around 16 years. He wound up being ordered to take tests and he wasn't the father.

Burden of proof is on her side. Make her $$ for the testing. If you are the father, yes you will pay child support but I don't think they can force custody

what are the odds on me? I'm thinkin a fourth guy. I know this also has to be about her fighting with her ex-husband and not wanting him to have that many rites just out of spite, to be a dick to him.
