Ok here's the backstory. I bought wooden crates which were eastern white pine. They smelled like wood. I was told the smell would diminish with polyurethane. So I went ahead and used the poly. Well it's been 2 weeks and the crates still smell from the polyurethane. Any remedies to reduce the smell

did you use a water-based poly? i'm guessing "no". the water-based stuff doesn't have nearly the smell, or hang-time thereof (for future reference).

oh and, most people like the smell of wood.

let them sit outside in the sun or in a really hot garage or shed with windows open. But as much in the sun outside is preferred
