Please Fucking Help!~ Eating Large Amount Of Fat And Can Get In Keto!!

I eat all sorts of vegtables, thats just an example of what i'll eat. Fresh brocoli is my favorite :D

I mainly eat:
Brocoli
Green Beans
Asparagus
Salad

WHOA yea i started on the "DIET" 3 weeks ago and on the 4th day i thought i would be in the "keto" but my stix said none

so i looked over what i was eating

bacon
egg whites
steak (plain)
chicken
pork rinds
tuna -lite mayo zero carb
salmon
diet coke
diet dr pepper
water
nothing else!!!
i just wanted to lose around 15lbs (at least 5 of fat)

i was keeping count of carbs---less 1 gram a day
" " " " " protein---200 grams
"" " " " " fat-----AROUND 190GRAMS
between 1500-2000cal a day
so since i wasnt in ketosis i thought that maybe i needed to add a little more fat to my diet so i did 1000mg of flax 4x a day

and by the seventh day i tried the ketostix again & guess what???? ketostix read trace!!!!!

i was kinda mad thinking maybe my sticks were bad (3 years old)and i do know what the purple looks like (read purple 3yrs ago) when i bought them---so off to the store ---well same reading!!!

what could it be??????:confused: i've been in keto b4 with a more radical diet of just tuna & chicken & water

so now before i go radical for a 4-7days i'm gonna drop the diet drinks and sub water in place and on V-DAY i'll do a stick first thing to see if anything happens

but its just my 2 cents
I'M 6ft 224lbs

well i got up(5am) and tested my keto state to see if i made it and .............yep nice dark purple

but @ 6am i had 5 egg whites and sugar-free jello (1cup) i checked it again and bam just a trace

now just after lunch time i'm back in the deep purple
ate chicken for lunch and water

so for me it looks as if aspartame knocks me out of keto

will be the pig and test somemore

This is what I don't like about Keto diets... it gives people an excuse to eat pure sh*t. I don't care how much weight you are losing... this is not healthy. Do you even know what kind of oil those wings are fried in? Or does it not matter to you as long at it adds to your daily fat total? It's bad enough that Americans overeat on sodas, pastries, candy, etc. Then the Atkins diet gets press all over the media and to compensate for the sugary foods people start mowing on Bacon and fried foods while severely limiting carbs... well what do ya know the weight just drops off! No sh*t it does! That doesn't mean it's good! I may believe in an "old fashioned" approach to weight control but everyday I think more and more that mine is the right choice. You know what I mean, high protein, moderate amounts of quality low GI carbs, low-moderate but healthy fats... and STAYING ACTIVE! NOT JUST LIFTING 3 TIMES/WK OR DOING INCLINE WALKING! I'm sure a lot of people on these boards in good shape understand there are things more important than just aesthetics; but with some I wonder. This is not an attack on anyone; but the typical "bulk then cut" yo-yo is not good IMO. What I mean is more along the lines of eating like a horse for 8 months of the year and then cutting up for summer... year in and year out. I can understand the BB who carries a bit of extra weight while progressively adding mass over a period of YEARS... but this is also at a more steady pace. Cycling year after year does not promote a healthy normal metabolism and only gives you excuses to omit your most important muscle during "bulking" months :doc: . Anyways I'm all over the place with this rant just wanted to express some of my opinions after a few years browsing these boards. :user: :)

its about damn time someone said that! i second that as well

hopefully these hard headed people will learn theres easier ways and healthier ways
